@@passionaviatoray I have lobbied with various including ministry and Indian ambassador to HK. But the state vs central politics have taken a toll on ccu airport connection. Last time with Aditya Ghosh as indigo head he made ccu the hub for north Asia connections starting 6 flights, all but one remains rest all 5 closed. Mainly China hkg and Vietnam.

@@passionaviatoray am also privy that few European and Indian carriers wanted clearance for ccu connections to Europe but dgca and ministry didn’t approve instead approved them for del and bom, again because of the Center vs state politics.

Most international airlines have stopped operations from Kolkata. British Airways, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, all have withdrawn with dwindling business opportunities and demand in this sector.

Very nice captures 👌. Your video started with a majestic landing & ended with a majestic take-off.👍 When was this B747 captured ? It always feels great to watch exciting videos of the "Queen of the Skies". Do you have any old classic videos (or whether you can collect & share any such videos) from our old terminal (at the time, the visitors gallery was there ! ) , or the aircrafts at that time (such as A300, B737-100/200, F27 , Dornier 228 etc). That would be great if you can manage !

I started plane spotting from 2019 so no videos from the old terminal sorry mate. I wish I could have captured those old horses

The ATC tower under construction in ccu airport was initially commissioned to be the tallest in India but then the new modi govt and the centre vs state politics took prime and the plan was not sanctioned.
