This is my first plane spotting compilation filmed in Italy! The video is from Milan Malpensa Airport where I filmed a couple take off's from runway 35L on a late afternoon. The spot I used for this wasn't brilliant, but better options were not available. The really heavy take off's are sometimes obstructed by buildings. But most of the traffic luckily appeared above them and then made a nice quick left turn which caused some nice bankingshots. The video starts with an Emirates Airbus A380 taxiing to the gate. It wears a special livery to celebrate 50 years since the formation of the United Arab Emirates. The departing traffic was mostly well known European airlines and airplanes. My personal highlights were the Easyjet A321neo, Qatar Airways A350, two Cargolux 747-400 freighters, a Cathay Pacific Cargo B747-8F and a Neos B787-9 Dreamliner. The weather conditions were not ideal. It was dry but clouds blocked the sun while on the other side there were clear skies. This meant that the planes were not nicely lit up and look pretty dark. Speaking of darkness, I tried a couple shots from the hotelroom of heavy cargo take off's. The hotel I stayed was the Idea Hotel Milano Malpensa Airport. You'll see a Cargolux B747-8F almost crossing the moon, and also a DHL A300F and another B747-8F, this time from Qatar Cargo. Enjoy the video!
This trip I was accompanied by my good friend Ryan. Check out his Flickr page for beautiful planespotting pictures and more!
