If any of you are wondering what the Dok Do Islands are, its a group of islands that is between Korea and Japan. It has constantly been disputed on who owned it
@digimon96912 жыл бұрын
Both groups were amazing. Last for One and Ichigeki both have very unique and creative styles... The teamwork within the battle as well as the fun sportsmanship really made the stage shine with laughs. The most amazing battle I've seen in a long time haha

what makes ichigeki cool to me is that they have all these unexpected elements they blend together during their breaking; and that they support each other's diverse individual styles: i can see interpretive dance here and there, bordering on the avant-garde - original, experimental stuff. where other's rely on technique, precision, and the actual mastering of the "art," this takes something of a backseat to ichigeki, which i think in their case, is a good thing and makes them open to the new.

I agree with everything you wrote, well said. Hmm, except I wouldn't say I liked Ichigeki's style FAR more... I thought it was very, very close, but I did think they were on top.

I really enjoyed this battle, Korean bboys always put on a great show, but I think ichigeki had more spirit and i liked their style far more, they also hit beat which is an element that seems to be lost these days with power shows, but last for one is the winner and winners are grinners I think bboying should be an olympic sport !!! so many countries can compete!

the only reason japan loses is because their moves express their own inner selves, rather than amaze the audience. Korean bboys' dance is purely designed to please the crowd.

Battle of the Year used to be tight, but honestly the whole judging format always annoyed me. Why should you base the finalists on rehearsed dance routines as opposed to battles? That isn't what bboying's about, and the main reason USA never makes it to the finals (they dance for battles). In any case, I came here for Ichigeki crew. ^_^

@blagzter27 because there are a lot of awesome individual b-boys in the Philippines but there isn't a crew where everyone in it is fucking awesome. It's usually just like one guy or at most, three, who are good in the crew.

@digimon969 Huh? I'm just guessing you're saying that out of national pride or something because I've never seen anyone with the style and energy of Japanese bboys, I've seen so many of the same sets coming from different Korean Bboys, I've never seen a Japanese bboy replicate someone's style. I think alot of Korean bboys are great and have originality, but I think what you're saying is very wrong.

@KrnMunky11 I do understand this rivalry and in my recent comments you should notice I'm trying to stimulate this rivalry, I'm merely defending my side of the conflict while others are defending theirs. However I believe the people against Ichigeki here should put a little more maturity into their "opinions", "These dudes are legit shit" and "Weirdos" is bound to have anyone respond negatively, I don't believe you should be picking me out of this cause I'm just defending Ichigeki as others are.

Last for one (THE KOREAN) won. and also, you can tell a difference from japanese from korean easily. Korean's are original while japanese just steals other people's ideas.
