Its finicky, but it is possible to get a rocket platform to snap to existing foundation platforms. In theory, you can place them flush with the lake's surface.

I found a butterfly larve in the wild that gave me a huge boost. ( It was something like 550%) 😅 I also used a golden flower to make a tree seed. Although it's not listed .😊

That is awesome! The Pleom (secret) tree seed is pretty cool. 350% oxygen multiplier as far as I remember.

I did some exploring on my current playthrough last night and the changes that the devs made to the look of the game is stunning. I'm enjoying hearing your reactions to seeing the changes as well, and am looking forward to hearing your future reactions as well. For starters, as a suggestion, go swimming every once in a while. It's unfortunate that mining all the quartz is not a thing, but that just means that late game is important. I'm trying to be cryptic in what I say because I don't want to spoil it for any first-time viewers. I'll let you do that. 😂 When I want to slow down on terraforming, or allow unlocks to 'happen', I go build something in a biome like an outpost or something. It really helps me to not speed run this game, although a speed run would be a good challenge to see how long it takes. Cheers, Surtr!

Those plains look completely different at the start of the game before you've terraformed it. There are apparently some caves in the area but they seem to be easier to find at the start of the game for some reason. Don't forget there's an Iridium Rod in the rift canyon Iridium cave. 11:16 You can actually climb up and down using those rocks on the right but obviously for you the vine is easier. I think I saw someone place the Space Trading Rocket on foundations but I might be mistaken. You may think you can go big on Space Trading but it needs an awful lot of resources. For instance, one Silk Generator will take almost 3 hours to produce enough Silk to make Fabric to fill one rocket while one Beehive will take over an hour to produce enough Honey to make High Quality Food to fill one rocket. (I'm going to assume you'll use Outdoor Farms for the Beans, as a single T2 Food Grower will take over four hours to produce enough Beans.) The easiest product to trade is Pulsar Quartz but even then you're limited by the T2 Gas Extractor which will take over ½ an hour to produce enough Methane to make Pulsar Quartz to fill one rocket. Given that rockets only take 10 minutes to trade, three T2 Gas Extractors and sets of T3 Ore Extractors per rocket won't quite keep up. And that's not including the time it takes the Drones to collect all the resources together... Don't forget to upgrade your existing T1 Tree Spreader.

Thanks for the tips. Its going to take me a short while to get into trading but like everything in this game, you start off slowly and scale up. I might just start a new game behind the scenes to see what those plains look like before terraforming. I heard they are called the ice plains so I assumes there is a lot of ice.

@@surtrplays The snow effect is pretty cool although it does make it harder to work out where you can place outdoor machines as the rocks look the same as usable ground.

Very much like the pace you're going with this playthrough. And a thought about the fuse multipliers is that I think they kinda nerfed the rockets with them, so for me, fuses should be introduced a littler later to the game.

If you put your has extractor for methane on the roof the auto crafter will pull straight from the extractor

I saw your last playthru with the video where you were going through the portals using various different color quartz crystals, and you were dropping those light sticks, and my playthru now, coming back from years ago, I just got the blueprint to make them (!) which was unexpected given in 0.9 you said they were only available in drops. Wait, I rebooted my computer to check what the recipe was to relate it to you if you didn't know, and I can't find where I need to craft them in... It's not in my inventory craft menu, not in the crafter menu or the adv crafter menus (!) I definitely saw the identical light stick you dropped in that prior playthru pop up when I did the chip... ruh roh... I hope I'm missing seeing it right in front of my face, that can happen sometimes, but usually only when I'm tired... Wait^2 I didn't check the biological crafter... it crafts the pulsar crystals eventually I think... oh, crap, yup: in the biolab! Recipe: 1 Explosive Powder, and 1 Bioplastic Nugget.

I'm glad you found it. I had a problem in my previous playthrough were I forgot where to make the Pulsars because I broke down the Biolab and for to rebuild it. Sometimes stuff happens.

Hi there i like your series. Sometimes it is a bit hard to understand everything on the first listn :) I am an old retiered German guy, so english is not my native language. For the trees, if you have some spare, you can use golden seeds from the golden chest with the standard recepie to craft tree seeds, they will give 350 % boost.

Don't bother Automating Smart Fabrics. You can't sell them. Also, you forgot to read the message in the small ship at the North end of the Rift. The new Biome to the north is the 'Ice Plains', at least in the start...

@@surtrplays Regular fabric can be sold, though, just not the 'Smart' stuff. You get about 200 TeraTokens for a full rocketload of them.
