Hey sorry for the delay in responding. So as far as snorkeling goes I admittedly don't know the answer to that as I never looked into it. However I can say this, it is extremely safe to go off resort in Costa Rica, this was my fourth time in CR and the only time I had been on a resort and I always feel and felt completely safe, so perhaps if the resort isn't ideal for snorkeling you could travel offsite somewhere to do so. Secondly, there was no one on the beach because we were there technically just as or slightly before the resort was officially opening. We were shooting all the marketing campaign materials so the resort wasn't even close to capacity as it likely is now. The black sand from the volcanoes was amazing and depending on the time of day, you could go QUITE far out into the water which was an incredible temperature. and it was extremely calm. I will try to reach out to the people at Planet Hollywood to find out more about snorkeling and if they get back to me, I'll reach you here.

Did you do any excursions off the resort? What is there to do off of thw resort? What are must do's on and off the resort? Thanks

Unfortunately my shooting schedule was so busy I never had a full day off to do any of the excursions of which there are quite a few including zipling, volcano tours, horseback riding and some other nature related things. One thing I regret not doing at the resort itself was taking one of their great Jetski's out on that water, it's like an inlet or cove more or less, and the vistas would have been breathtaking. The must-do's for me are FOR SURE the big foam parties in the pools, the live entertainment show and buffet dinner at night on the top floor, the nighttime live entertainment poolside and of course a proper spa day (I'm biased as we had by far the most fun shooting that). Another big highlight for me was the black volcanic sand at the beach area, during low tide you can play quite a bit in it and even give yourself a bit of a self-appointed spa day if you like.

Just got back from a wonderful trip. One of my favoorite things to do was to watch the monkeys swing from the trees while I was floating in the pool. Plus that pool party was just awesome.

Same, one of the things I liked best about PH was the access to that kind of nature tucked right in with all the wonderful modern amenities of the resort itself. And YES that pool/foam party caught me off guard. It is my own foolishness that I normally write-off those kinds of things as cheesy but I had an absolute blast that day.

DOUG and NIKI likewise. It is my first drone and I almost bought the Mavic 2 Pro, but I’m glad I didn’t because the compact size of the Air is a massive advantage for travelling.

I agree. Although..I just added a Mavic 2 Pro to my fleet ;) It's not too much bigger for travel but definitely much heavier.

Not a bad plan. I won a football pool and had some extra cash to invest. I love my Air. Although...it did crap out on me in the middle of our trip to Peru which was a big disappointment.
