The majority of the people alive do truly understand how incredible life is. @@Roscoe.P.Coldchain not really, humanity needs to do both. & the goal of nasa & space X isn't to "find aliens" so this whole notion is misguided...elon musks contribution for space has been hugely important, talk to anyone in the field, so I don't get people's obsession with complaining about it. there are lots of worthy projects whether it's the oceans or space or anything else. you probably don't realize how half the technology you use DAILY that make our lives better & saves lives etc COMES FROM technology developed through nasa or space xploration etc. we wouldn't have those things otherwise. humanity is by nature curious & there is zero reason we should limit that to the oceans& not space because you think star trek is silly or whatever.

I highly recommend this documentary to everyone, particularly the children of today, adult of tomorrow. Very emotional scenes of victims of plastic consumption combined with spectacular sites. Well done as comparison of what was and what is today and the short amount of time it took to get here. We need leadership of those who love the earth enough to realize that we must do something. This Oceanic doc is "Attenborough-esque" depth, conceptual clarity, etiological understanding and plain old excellent audio-visual attractiveness and being so, even a primary school student will be intellectually drawn in, willing to go along for the entire ride, then find themselves asking for more... The best documentary of the ocean I ever seen so far! The images, the timings and How they catch the exacts moments. A good example will be in the minute 19:26 where it shows how the birds haunt the fish, or how the octopus use camouflage changing the colors in the coral reefs. I recommend to watch it. There's already been 5 mass extinctions, and numerous smaller ones in the life of our planet, many years from now there will be another. However the earth will not go on. The sun is halfway through it's life, it will one day run out of fuel in around 4 billion years, but all life will be extinct 3 billion years before that as the sun will become hot enough to boil our oceans.

Have u watched the documentary called *The Anthropocene?* If u haven't I encourage u to check it out. Sure it's a downer of a film but it's also an eye opener for what we are doing to our own home. That doc changed my view of our planet and what we are doing to it and what we have done to it. Ever since the dawn of civilization and agriculture we have been terraforming the Earth, started off relatively slow and gradually increased until the industrial revolution. Now we are witnessing irreversible climate changes globally, mass extinctions, extreme weather phenomena and natural disasters.

It touched my heart deeply so I try to inform my family and friends about the film with recommendation aswell. Every person on this planet needs to watch this. The women narrating is incredible. The footage is intense. And the information in sobering. If this didn't touch you then you care for nothing but yourself. Look at the dead birds towards the end. Next time you throw plastic any place but a garbage bag, just picture them. I am far from a bleeding heart but my heart goes out to this planet we "are" destroying!
