I feel so bad for Cornelius. He loses his entire family at such a young age. This movie shows not only the loss from war, but how bad revenge is. If Caesar hadn’t stayed behind to get revenge, he wouldn’t have gotten shot, and his son would have grown up with a father instead of an orphan

I understand that revenge is never justified in war is a dirty business, but sometimes a war is necessary if you want to protect the people you love because Alfamega, even if they even if the apes managed to escape to the oasis, Alfamega would’ve followed them, I would’ve tried to eradicate them too Best to try to slow them down or at least kill enough of them that they wouldn’t come back

I always forget the death of Blue Eyes probably affected Rocket a lot, since they were gone for like 3 years and he was Ash’s best friend, he definitely probably looked at him as a son after such a journey, makes even more since why he goes with Caesar

Rocket's character sucks. He's always been a flat character. In Rise, he barely did anything in the movie. In Dawn, he was barely in the movie. In War, he also barely did anything in the movie. I feel like even the movie writers don't like Rocket since they never have him speak verbally in any of the movies. Rocket was a pretty forgettable character.

There could have been a lot more drama if blue eyes survived but Cornelius did not. Blue eyes trying to tame his father's anger, reminding him not to be like koba. Blue eyes being the more wiser one.. The tension climaxes when blue eyes has to physically fight his father from making the worst mistake for their people. Caesar in his rage nearly kills blue eyes, and in horror, realizes his hatred or quest for vengeance nearly cost him his last living son who only tried to hold onto caesars beliefs.
