@@hudsonclarkk Spoken like someone who’s never been a mo-cap actor. It is not “literally” all the SFX team, although they deserve props as well. Don’t use big words if you don’t know what they mean. People overuse the word “literally” so much these days and it’s rarely in the correct context. Anyway, it takes a great deal of talent to be able to move enough like an ape for the SFX team to be able to do their job well. If I recall correctly, they had specific training for moving like an ape. And their expressions are actually fairly close to the final product, considering the final product has a different facial structure.

The actors did a fantastic job, and they understood the assignment well. As an artist, creating things from the mind without the proper knowledge and reference would kill me and make my sketches look unrefined and impractical if used in the real world.
