I started bout 2 months ago doing these spay painting planets. I love to draw so I figured it would be worth a shot. I haven't done it on canvas like this but I use stincal paper at my job. Seems to take longer to dry and sometimes it bleeds through to the other side so I have to apply paint a few more times. It comes out good but prob easier with canvas. I gave them away at work and now I have requests from co workers

Canvas isn't too bad to work with. You're right that it is probably easier than the paper you've been using. poster board is the easiest, though. It's pretty cheap and comes in a variety of sizes. If you paint on the glossy side, your paint won't bleed through.

I still say, it's like standing on the bridge of a starship.

Please learn to think about your light source before you choose where to shade the planets. It will take your grate art to another level of amazing. For instance, the blue planet is not casting a shadow on the pink planet. If it was, then there would be no shadow on the bottom right. Just remember that whatever shadow one planet has, they all have it the same. Tow light sources remove shadows instead of casting them at different angles. One other tip, less is more with nebulas and the accent starts. I hope this positive criticism wil help a bit with the realism. Cheers
