Planet Earth Motorcycle Expedition: Exploring the Mysteries and Beauties of Siena! Siena, the medieval city shrouded in mystery and charm!** In the last episode, we explored the wonders of Florence. Now, get ready for a chilling adventure through the narrow, medieval streets of Siena, a city that looks like it came out of a fairy tale... or a horror movie!
Arrival in Siena:
We took a spectacular road to Siena, enjoying breathtaking landscapes. We arrived in the city a little late and, with night falling, the medieval atmosphere became even more mysterious. We stopped at a charming restaurant to taste delicious Italian wine and enjoy local cuisine.
When we returned to the hotel, the darkness and narrow streets made us a little apprehensive... could Siena hide macabre secrets?
Haunted Night at the Hotel:
The hotel, with its old decorations and pictures of people and children, looked like something out of a horror movie.
Sweet Beloved, with her more sensitive side, was terrified by the sinister atmosphere of the place. Between nightmares and the rain that fell outside, we spent a tense and unforgettable night.
Radiant Morning and New Adventures: At dawn, the rain gave way to the sun and the city was bathed in golden light. Siena, now illuminated by the sun, revealed its stunning beauty, leaving behind the mysterious aura of the previous night. We decided to explore the city on foot, ready to discover its secrets and charms.
Uncovering the Wonders of Siena:
We begin our journey at Palazzo Comunale, a symbol of Italian Gothic architecture. We then visit the Duomo di Siena, a masterpiece of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, where we marvel at its stained glass windows, sculptures and frescoes. We went up to the roof and enjoyed a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. We went down to the crypt, a place full of history and mysticism, where we could feel the unique energy of the place.
Delicious Lunch in a Family Cantina:
To end the day on a high note, we had lunch in a family-run Italian cantina, where we tried typical regional dishes prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients.
The homemade food and the welcoming atmosphere of the canteen provided us with an authentic and unforgettable experience.
Siena, a city that enchanted us with its mysteries, beauty and flavors!
