Same stuff, same idea: let's see how well they do what the group does. No chance of displays of individual talent, only adherence to the group's movements. You see it in kids quite often, in that they conform to the group no matter what, and will not challenge the group's views. Gotta fit in, don't want to show off individual talents. Kind of a waste, when you think about it.
