1:40 UThermy, *you’re* amazing. For your honesty, thoughtfulness and sheer grit and determination at not only conquering your inner demons, but speaking so openly and forthrightly about your experiences. It stands as a beacon of hope for all of us who’ve grappled with our own mental and emotional barriers and pain (including those who currently *are*). It’s a glimpse in the window of your soul; and, for sure, makes your usual upbeat & enthusiastic YT persona all the more impressive and infectious! Thank you.

I'm not sure what is better: 1. Having you back 2. Hearing that you are better now 3. Hearing that you will take more care od yourself:) 4. Watching you win 3 games in a row in one of the best series I ever seen on StarCraft KZbin. It is fine to have less video weekly if you will need break, and if anyone think differently, they don't deserve to watch your videos:) kudos for being honest:)

When you find yourself trying to get goals met every single day, then the pressure makes it more stressful day to day, and that takes a toll. It adds up over time. When you remove the pressure, the day to day seems less critical, and the energy you have builds, rather than diminishes. I am so glad you are taking care of yourself, KZbin is not worth sacrificing you health for! Love what you do for us all, and good luck in the future!

New challenge idea: Tower Defense! 1. You can build whatever you want inside your main base, but the only buildings you are allowed to build outside of your main base are planetary fortresses, bunkers, missile turrets and sensor towers. 2. Attack-Move is not allowed. You must regular-move your units to where you want them, then they must hold position. 3. Attacking is only allowed while holding position, and once a unit holds position, you cannot move them from that position ever again by any means. 3a. Workers and Medivacs are exempt from the hold position rule, and you can move and use them however you want. Love all your videos! Stay awesome and stay curious!

Great to have you back! These X to GM series are just so great. Before I saw your videos, my impression that the higher up on the ladder you want to go, the more boring and homogenous your build and strat has to be. After seeing many of these series though, you've clearly shown that if you have enough mechanical skill, game sense, and you're just good at coming up with a solid build, you can work your way up pretty close to the top by playing any fun wacky idea you come up with. In every competitive game I've ever played, whether it be SC2, Dota, card games, fps, etc I've always quickly gotten bored of doing the "meta strat" and would rather win less frequently doing a fun and unique strategy I came up with than just do what everyone else says, so it's amazing to see that's doable to such a high level in SC2

Minutes after I watched the last proxy hatch video where you explained to the guy how to hold a spine rush, I got proxy-hatch spine rushed and held it! I’ll keep watching, whatever the release schedule is.

I get that way when I get sick back to back. It sucks with kids in school even worse since germs are always getting spread around, and no matter how hard you try it just hits everybody. I get burned out with work, helping with wife's work on my off hours, and kids. I have such a bad habit of wanting to do more than I can do and it overwhelms me and makes it more likely for me to get sick anyway! And honestly, your content and the length of these is a nice break for me, just sit back and drink some coffee in the morning, and take a breather. Thanks for all the content and take good care of yourself and know that everybody would rather you be healthy and happy than forcing yourself to do more than you should as well. -- a SC player that hasn't played since SC in 2001

In the second game I think putting forward sensor towers would've been op honestly. Having him isolated in that pocket of the map you could see every movement, would make a couple missile turrets around for vision as well, or 2 bunkers on both sides to massacre any flying troops or overlords. Same with having a couple vikings

If you have to take some days off every once in a while, don't worry about it, uthermal! When I was a classroom teacher, I actually just used most of my sick days as mental health days, because I too was working crazy hours, and if I didn't do that, I would have COMPLETELY burnt myself out (instead of just somewhat). You have a LARGE backlog of YT videos (because you have been working so hard). I found that when you had taken some time off, I was able to visit previous series, so ... I was still able to "get my uthermal fix." Stay well, friend!

uThermal and anyone else struggling, I found some great mental health techniques in 2022. 1)cold/colder showers, it's taken me months but I'm officially off warm/hot showers and it's had a massive impact on my mental health. 2) waking up every morning and sitting outside for about 10minutes (never having coffee until about 1:30mins into my day - I'm a coffee addict so this one's been tough)...I guess these 2 or 3 things have helped me alot. Keep strong everyone! Ps you can watch Dr Andre Hubermans podcasts here on KZbin on various biohacking techniques...its wild how effective his research is when practised
