The story that we bring you on this occasion takes us to the northwest of India. There, there is a national park, of almost 2,000 square kilometers, which is home to a species as powerful as it is struggling to survive: the Asiatic lion. This documentary deals with the nearly 300 specimens that live in this national park, perfect for understanding the importance that mankind has had so that this majestic animal does not become extinct in the Gir forest. North East of India ? Haven't you ever seen a map of Gujarat in India? It's more like West. Check and correct facts please. Also , it's not just the relation between the lions and indigenous people of Gir that saved them from extinction. You must recognise the important role of the last Nawab of Junagadh, HH Nawab Sir Mahabat Khanji III, who set up Gir as a reserve in the 1930s.

Gujarat state is not "south "west. It is geographically classed as "Western India" only . Other sources consider it to be northwest India.

That is not poverty that is a culture which maldhari are not ready to give up .. they could go to city and live normally but they want to be with nature... You are from the west so you won't know our customs and cultures so plz do some research

The Maldhari live a more fuller life than you and me combined in the west. The Maldhari live in unison with nature, something the west has forgotten. So before you open your mouth and talk about poverty, please do really do your research and re-define the word poverty in your mind. The west has mind poverty with lots of materialism. That is REAL poverty, not what you see in this documentary. Please learn to be open minded and learn to change that narrow mind set of yours.
