I’m pretty sure the evacuation slides inflate automatically as soon as the door lets go of the slide and the door opens fully and the handle is designed to only be pulled if the slide inflates slowly or doesn’t inflate at all when the door is open

Yes, but flight attendants are trained to pull it no matter what as a safety back up.

It's training, u apply for airlines after initial training and after being licences by caa
