Yes Gurl!!! Please do! I was spending over a thousand a week ordering out because I every time I looked into my pantry and fridge/freezer- I saw ingredients but no meals jumping out at me. NOW, with this inventory system, every Sunday when I sit to do my meal plan for the week, I am able to see what I have and fill in the blanks on what I need that week and stick to a meal plan. it has literally save me thousands a month!!! I hope you find your grove with a new pantry list!

I hope you love it too!!! hugs!

I use CANVA for all inserts. My weeklies are the only exception- I spend days, dare I say weeks perfecting that insert in Excel. Canva is amazing and it's really about trial and error. learning each time I use it. :)

How do you keep up your pantry stock if you're using things up and only buying basics and what you need for your recipes? I know this is probably a dumb question but I've never been able to figure that out. If you use it up, how do you replenish? I love your set up, by the way.

Hi. :) so first let me share my intention with the pantry list and why I created it. I was spending over a thousand a week (outside of groceries) ordering door dash / take out. every time I would look in my pantry and fridge - I saw odds and ends and not meals jumping out at me. so I decided to take inventory of what I had- outside of the standard staples, like condiments, milk, eggs, bread. I had/have tons of food in my pantry- so the goal was to use up what is in my pantry before going to the grocery store and/or Costco to go do a big grocery haul. so if I see in my inventory list that I have everything to make enchiladas but I am missing cheese. Then I add that to my necessities list for that week. The Sunday grocery run- is just for missing items that I need to complete the meals for that week. it isn't a huge grocery haul. Once I start getting to my last hamburger meat, chicken, pork, etc. then I schedule a huge grocery run, where all the common items get replenished. I hope that makes sense. It has been working so well for me and I have literally been saving tons of money doing this. For me It is really about taking the time to meal plan and trying to use up what I already have, verses going and buying a ton more groceries without a plan. :)

@@MyMoxieDreams Thank you. The reason why was extremely helpful and that makes perfect sense.

@@MyMoxieDreams I’ve been thinking about what you said and you made a really important point. I’ve been struggling with my planner for a while after years pretty consistent use. I have trouble setting up planners from scratch but I don’t want to use FranklinCovey out of the box anymore. So what I’ve been doing is I’ve been finding planner set ups I like from people like you and then copying them. But the problem is exactly what you said with the why. Everybody puts things in their planners based on what they need to run their life. The pantry system you created was to solve a problem you had. Your planner is designed to meet your needs. It focuses on what’s important to you and what you need. So when I copy planners, it’s not necessarily what I need and I don’t usually know the why behind the different inserts. So copying someone isn’t ever going to work unless their life is exactly like mine. I need to sit down and think about what I need and my why. So thank you for this epiphany today.

What kind of purse do you carry this planner in?
@MyMoxieDreams Жыл бұрын
Hi Sandra! I am so sorry for my delayed response. I have desperately wanted to reply to all the comments and every time I sat down to do it- I got bombarded with other things. Thank you for your patience with me. I have a couple of handbags. The one I love is a structured satchel that has three compartments. I keep my planner in the center compartment so that it sits in there by itself. I also have a Apolis Petite Market bag that I have an Amazon insert which also has several pockets, but the center is where the planner sits. Those are the two I use the most. all my others are crossbody bags and I never take my planner with me when I use those. Typically a day in the city when I know I won't need it. Hope that helps! I find that structured bags work best for me. I have a designer hobo bag and I wouldn't dare put my planner in that one. it would be a loose caboose in that bag! lol
