The term is completionist, it refers to gaming but I started using it in reference to my planning style. I feel the same way, my planner feels empty if I leave anything incomplete. But, this year I am letting it go, this year will be my calm era. Looking back at my old planners I never look at as incomplete, I look at my old planners and see all the things I have completed or had gone through.

When I'm not "feeling it" and don't want to memory-keep, I'll go to the page and write just that. "I'm not feeling it today and that's okay" is what I put in about a week ago. I've embraced 'blank' pages. I've chosen to show myself some grace on those days. If I look back in a year I might not remember why this winter was rough, but I won't be upset I didn't write that day.

What a great video Sam! This year I switched out of rings for the very first time! I have been using a ring bound planner since the early 1990s. The past 4 years I have struggled to find planner peace. Enter the Hobonichi Techo A6. I am in love and don’t think I will ever go back. Storing all the inserts, trying to write on the left page, the heavy weight, I don’t miss any of that! Thanks for giving me some ideas on how to use some of the sections! (Still using your nude colored stickers and post it’s and love them)
