We should ride it someday.

Hi Dave, my wife and I enjoyed your video! You mentioned that you may be riding across Connecticut. We live in the Northwestern CT and know a way to cycle around the huge hills in New Hartford, Barkhamsted and Salisbury. If you will be traveling through the area, I would be more than happy to give you some tips when cycling through the Litchfield Hills. Take care, Steve

I’ve been enjoying your videos as well and I do know where you live (generally). And when I thought about riding to the western border I was going to reach out to you and get some advice on a good route. Actually, if you have the RWGPS route that you took when riding the East Coast Greenway to your home from Maine, that would be a huge help. I assume you crossed the River up in Warehouse Point and then hit the Farmington Trail but from there I am at a loss as to where to kick off to head west. I am not sure I will be doing that this summer as I want to get to Quebec for some real nice rail trail cycling.

One more thing… the next day trip will be from Pomfret to the Tri-state plaque. Do you know if the trail to the marker can be traversed by my Priority 600 or is it strictly a walking trail.

@@cc103acs I will upload my route to RWGPS sometime between tomorrow and Sunday and let you know when its available. Getting ready to leave Monday to ride the Empire State Trail from the Canadian border to NYC. Should be a nice 10 day trip.

@@cc103acs I’m not exactly sure. I haven’t been to the Tri State Marker.

Really enjoy your channel Dave. What camera set up do you use on the bike? And editing software?
@cc103acs Жыл бұрын
Well thanks for watching! I use a GoPro Hero 10 with some B-roll footage using an old Insta360 R. For editing I use Luma Fusion on a 2021 iPad Pro which has become my laptop replacement.

we rode the entire northeast section last Spring. the trail just ran out at one point(can't remember town name). we came back next day and picked it up where it was ridable again. trail actually cuts into Mass and there is a side trail where you can get to the tri-border.

Just to the northeast is the gap in the town of Putnam. I am going to ride that next week and plan on going to the monument and will check out a campground (Wolf’s Den).

Did you do just two day trips or did you camp?

@@cc103acs day trips, drove with bikes on car. we don't stop much, just try to get as many miles as possible. was cool in the shade and try to keep moving.

Could you ride to the 3 state marker or did you need to hike in?
@garyfirmin8054 Жыл бұрын
@@cc103acs we didn't do it so not sure. I've been thinking of getting a water filter, like the ones that fit on top of a common water bottle, incase get stuck with no water!
