Great advice, thanks. We unschool now here, but we are very relaxed and talk about things as you do with your kids. I only have the 1 child, and we have to do reports on everything, so your resources on your blog sounds like they might be useful for me (& my daughter as she gets older). I'm in FNQ Australia and we have to submit plans and do reports each year. You are allowed to unschooled, over the last few years I've found it easier for submission and reporting purposes to have a general theme for the year, grab a small library of books, activities and a couple of educational travel adventures based around that theme.

Unschoolers would say if your kids didn't choose poetry tea time then you aren't really unschooling. If you choose anything they are doing it isn't but you could say you are relaxed, that is where we are and I've left unschooling groups due to the fact that they always say I'm not doing it right lol! I'm happy to stay in the relaxed zone, it even sounds better. =]

Nope. When they are older and their interests are more defined I think we'll start really honing in on their interests even more.
