30:50 I think games needs some type of transportation ministry or department with open hull trucks for replacing slow or unmovable vehicles.

51:58 Repair stations can repair their own repair trucks, I'm pretty sure you've run into a bug here, one that I've not yet been able to reproduce consistently.

Perhaps this repair station got overloaded with repair requests and trucks were stuck at the end of the list?

@@Jfk2Mr true, this can happen when not supplying a repair station with aluminium while not having disabled helicopters or just... not supplying any ressource for a good while

On 4:14 you see that the forklift is on 100% wear and tear and probably it blocks the entry this is why no meat get's delivered.

With the amount of replacement vehicles that are needed, would it be an idea to create another vehicle production area? or maybe add another 3-4 factories to the existing area? That way you'll have 3-4 more types of vehicles being made at the same time, giving more options for replacement.

The number of vehicles aren't really the problem. With the 8+2 I could probably produce a few hundred per month, which means all vehicles are replaced within a year, and lifetime is about 20 years...so I think 2 dedicated factories are more than sufficient. Adding more factories to the existing area would be hard... already maxed out workers, and space isn't really there besides the peninsula piece, but again, workers are a problem. At this point, I do want to do anything until any of the mechanisms I asked the devs for to make island play more viable, are added to the game, then I will setup whatever is needed...it can most likely live in the current vehicle production, it will just be a matter of redoing all the lines in that area.

@bballjo I wasn't think volume, more variety of vehicles. Every few episodes there seems to be another type of vehicle that's not in stock and it's causing issues. No easy options here though.

@SuperAd1980 every few episodes...I hope you see that we are about 90yrs in, and this is the first time a stretch like this happened...I usually had enough vehicles, but I just started to sell of the once that sat in storage for a while...these episodes also showcase very well why I don't want the manual click heavy replacementsbor vehicle queues

Hello! I have a question: do you think having farming set up around medium sized town with town in the middle and one farm on each side of it, each farm connected to cattle farm which takes grain from the farm and gives it solid fertilizer and small distribution Office and small repair facility completing the setup would work?

I don't see why not...id assume rocks and mountains would still be the main problem to get that going, and then getting appropriate ratios, and of course logistics, but yeah, why not!

Is the repair station supposed to send a truck to a rail DO, or is the loco from the rail DO supposed to drive to the repair station? Maybe a bug makes the game end up in some mixed position where the logic for the rail DO vehicles think that the repair station should send a truck, while the repair station thinks that the rail DO should send out the loco, and then everything gets stuck? The work-around is to lower the max amount of people per vehicle. Yes, this will lower efficiency when there are few vehicles to repair, but when there is a lot of work to do this ensures that things don't get stuck due to a bug or due to some other problem.

Repair trucks are supposed to go to any base with vehicles to repair there. Any other vehicle (on line or personal cars) are supposed to go to the repair station.

Not really..but you probably caught the part where I said we would produce what we can and just import the rest? I don't know that I can produce enough crops for everything I need on the island for the republic we already have or will have.

I genuinely feel that importing food is too important to turn it off, and that grain to feed a food industry is far less important. Specifically I've seen self sufficient republic builds, and chemical production for industry grows seemingly exponentially. Your entire farming sector as built looks like it might barely feed the chemicals for your electronics manufacture. As such I would focus on importing chemicals and food, and focus on manufacturing those chemicals to help cut the cost of your electronic manufacturing industry rather than building an entire industry your nation needs to feed itself with a single point of failure (a single fire or blocked distribution office can starve your republic) The essentials are to guarantee a food source, and food imports are inexpensive and take a tiny footprint. to ensure chemicals to supply fresh water to your many cities, and to feed your industry to manage your costs. I do not foresee success at sustainably feeding yourself when the first destination for all grain needs to be chemical production, not food. This isn't to say food production is futile, but that food Importation is too important to ever switch it off.

You have different priorities than me...which is fine...I just enjoy the challenge. You should never build something with a single point of failure with adding buffers. It's also why the fire station in that area has helicopters instead of a bunch of fire stations that barely work in the winter. Producing anything with infinite grain is very possible...I know we won't produce enough for everything, but whats so bad about imports? By your logic this series would have been done after we started selling vehicles and nuclear fuel for that size of the republic. We can easily import everything we need...there is no need to keep growing...but that's not the fun for me...figuring out the logistics is, and adding most of the industries is just part of that.

@bballjo I figure you were talking chemicals, set up farming for chemicals and now are going to consume a heap of grain for food and create extra duties for your slowly overloaded rail network, some parts probably need double tracking from what I've seen. But it's cool I just feel sometimes the goal is wildly varying with time. And I'm still curious to see if your electronics setup works!

i really like your videos. but at the beginning the upscrolling names are just disturbing. for my taste its to quick. and nobody reads them anyway. i get the point, its a nice gesture, to show your supporters your apreciation. but for me as a normal viewer it kinda ruins the beautyful experience of your verry nice content.
