Thanks for your videos Jack. I'm a retired business major. Maybe this will be a good source of a little extra retirement money.

I use breaking news English as well as Kieron's Film English, great recommendations Jack. I also like teatime-mag.com with its fairly authentic articles and the quality voice overs that come with them. The site also has intext translations for some of the language within the article. Moreover, the vocabulary tab above the article also contains multiple choice comprehension Qs and vocabulary lists. I set an article at the end of a class as either a reading or listening homework. Next class students summarise the article in their own words. Say what were the most interesting takeaways from the article, and then answer some personalisation questions (for example with the article on working on a cruise ship Iask if this would be an interedting job for them). I also often use a screenshare and we go through the comprehension questions together. Thanks for the video. Glyn.

It takes 6-12 months to build a system. I work with native-speakers and I am usually the one creating all of the teaching plans for them. Thank you for sharing all of these resources.

What? ! :D Wow, I hope they pay you well for it! The hired you to build lesson plans for them?! How much money can they make doing this and teaching ESL to whom? What's the L1 of their students? Thanks for the comments, that all seem great if it really works and you all make money whilst making your students happy and teaching them something actually. :D P.S. I'm not a NNES, just asking... ;)

Thank you for this. I teach one one and small groups in person but would like to start flapping the online wings! One program I've used for three is: ESL Library. I cannot say enough good about it. A great variety of classes from starter to advanced, all categorized; the choice is huge. Placement test, grammar tests, stories , current events, discussion questions, grammar, phonics, exercises to go with every class and audios both US or UK accents + online assignment homework to review, and on the list goes, is worth every cent!

Great video! I've been an ESOL tutor for 20 years. However, my new job will initially be online! It's not one to one, it's a class of new learners who are refugees! So really anxious about this.

The problem is that when you manage a lot of different students and a variety of programs (from the beginner to business English), it gets really hard to manage. I get overwhelmed and it takes a lot of my time (that I don’t have anymore)

Jack, once again very informative. I would like to go to ways with my teaching ESL. The first is the conversational English and second is academic English with a focus on teaching skills and concepts for reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I have more experience with the latter. In the mean time I will focus on the learners as suggested and review online resources too. Thanks

Yes yes, I checked it and liked a lot! Thank you! In Georgia, they teach English at schools with ENGLISH WORLD, which I like but I think, the levels are mixed in the books. I tried each resource which you named below, and they are all very helpful. I am so grateful I cannot express. Best wishes Kate
