Mary Ellen…. I really honor how you have assessed what is no longer working with your planning and doing something tangible about it. That is something we all go through on and off and taking action is a healthy step. However, YOU have had some devastating life blows and some huge adjustments to make in the past few years. It is totally understandable why your productivity has slowed down. I’m glad that you’re trying to rev up a little, but I encourage you to give yourself a break and stop scolding yourself about the slow down. Every step forward will require more effort than you used to have to give. Under the circumstances, you are doing great and a wonderful example for all of us on how to move forward under adversity. I’m just glad you’re not in bed with a pilllow over your head! ❤❤❤. PS. I am going to add that goal sheet with the three trackers on the back to my planner just before every monthly divider. I’ve been trying to use my currently page for goal setting , but this will work much better. Thanks for the tip.

I've been following you, and Bumble, probably from the beginning of your KZbin days. I don't always catch every video, but it is so comfortable hearing your voice and catching up. I've been doing a dashboard planner for several years. This year I am going to frankenplan .... I think. But, I may give-up and dashboard again! At least I have this week to try. Happy New Year!

I really like your channel. I've watched it a lot recently. I found it when I discovered The Happy Planner and searched for it on youtube. And although I will use a Hobonichi Weeks as my catchall planner in 2024, I use several Happy Planners/Happy Notebooks as creative journals. I use them for journaling that is not productivity-based, and more for art and creativity. Because they are big and easy to decorate and draw in. Thank you for sharing your setup, I really liked it!

I love that your planners match. i have set up my work planner, i have switched from classic dashboard to classic vertical. My catch-all is still a big planner but I'm using it a little more intentionally this year i have a section for what I'm tracking and my goals section, so have only put the first 6 months in. My journal is an out dated fitness layout as i only use it when i need to not every day so i'm just whiting out or covering the dates. Hopefully i will be able to keep things going this year but my absolute favourite thing is undated layouts and expansion packs as it makes it easier to chop and change if and when you need to. I have an 18 month classic vertical from this summer I will be continuing for 2024. I do like using some extra things like pockets for my home/holiday planner for receipts. I tried the dashboard layout when HP came out with the sewing planners. I started with the big because my very first planner was big. But the big doesn’t fit the spot I keep my everyday planner in so I switched to the classic dashboard. (I have a home Econ degree and have been sewing since 7th grade so I bought all the sewing planner stuff) but I just couldn’t make the dashboard work for me decor wise. So that said I will be waiting to see your take on decorating a dashboard. You are way more creative than I am. Have a wonderful holiday.

I am using the Kell of a Plan watercolor floral classic vertical planner as my main planner. An Erin Condren Hello Kitty monthly planner with notepages for monthly overview. The Happy Planner Butterfly classic horizontal for journaling. The Kellof a Plan Reading journal and Novelly Yours reading tracker. An Archer and Olive Big Wellness planner. AN American Library Association Reading planner for dirt track racing streaming schedules. I am not sure if I will write in them all regularly, I am not going to put any pressure on myself. I just have organized this fun line-up to cover all the bases. I may or may not decorate any planner except the main catch-all. Function is what I am striving for this year.

Because I've found dashboard is way more functional for me, but I prefer decorating vertical, I got both this year - for the first 3 months of 2024, I've put both the layouts in the same planner and I'm just gonna go on a whim every week and pick a layout. If I have lots of time to decorate, or need a creative outlet, I do vertical - if I need something highly functional, I pick the dashboard. I'm even considering if I may do both some weeks; one for tasks/tracking (dashboard) and one as a creative journal or mood board (vertical). And I'm doing my master-to-do at the start of the year! And then transferring it into weeks from there.

I have a really nice large erin condren teacher planner, but it's so big that I find I just don't use it. I think this planner will give me just what I need. I design my own. I don't use the planners that I buy because I don't like making mistakes and never use them but if I create my own I seem to use it more. Your videos are inspiring. I am still in the process of designing mine. I also don't like the size of bought planners. My disc planner is A5 and has 8 discs. I also make my own stickers. it annoys me how much they charge for stickers when I can just design my own. They are unique to my planner.

I found the big planner to also be way too big for me and just like you, I am moving to a dashboard layout. I found over the last couple of years that I do not need to plan out my day in my planner, but what I do want and need to do is track my income, commissions, spending and savings. I will use two monthly pages, one for memory keeping and one more functional to track my bill during dates for budgeting purposes. In the dashboard layout, I will use the left page as my more decorative page and the upper left corner of the weekly page, as well. And then I will use my days of the week to track spending or no spend days. I find that I really just want one central planner for this and then will use a classic skinny at work to track my client projects, sales and commissions. I look forward to seeing how you use the dashboard layout and intend to start sharing vids as well on how I will be using mine as aa budget planner.

I tried to use 3 planners this year (my main one, my purse one and a "student" one. And I'm making myself finish the student one because truthfully I don't like it, is redundant and is enough I have stuff in 2 places already (my purse for convenience and the house to keep pretty) and I had to admit I bought it because it had cute Disney illustrations 😅. So for next year I found a mini planner on clearance and only had to redate 6 months (still working on it😅) and I will use one of the undated I have on my stash instead of buying a new one, because I decided I need to use my stuff to be able to buy more (applying it to planners, craft and journal/writing supplies). On a side note, I have been applying your philosophy of mistakes happen and is ok, because a piece of paper on top can fix it right?❤

Ive got three planners i am going to attempt to keep with. HP skinny classic Horizontal layout, EC life planner (ends in july), and makselife planner. It seems like a lot but didnt realize that the EC one ended in July when i bought it. I am trying to find a cover for the HP i have now. Not having much luck. 😅
