Plano Diaries: Indian Buffets, Restaurants, Test Drives & Family Milestones

Today, Saturday, we drove approximately 23 miles from our home to the Foodistaan restaurant in Irving for breakfast. 🍽️🌶️ This isn’t just any restaurant; it’s a culinary journey through the flavors of India, with branches that spread these tastes across Frisco, Southlake, and beyond. They offer an unlimited breakfast buffet for only $9 per person. 🍛 The buffet includes soft and fluffy Idlis, crispy Vadas, savory Bondas, comforting Upma, hearty Pongal, and delicious Dosas.
After visiting Foodistaan, we went to Richardson to look at some Honda cars that Arun had shortlisted. From there, we proceeded to Auto of Dallas. Around 3:30 PM, we returned home, had lunch, then picked up Indu and Rohit, and went back to Auto of Dallas for a test drive.
It was almost 5:45 PM when we all decided to pick up some drinks for the evening. Subsequently, we visited Rejula’s Kitchen to purchase some Indian snacks and also bought bubble teas for Indu and Nanda.
We gathered at Arun’s house and enjoyed Saturday night by watching the Malayalam movie ‘Manjumal Boys.’ Now, it’s 12 AM on Sunday, the 12th, which is Indu’s and Rohit’s wedding anniversary.
Sunday afternoon, we were all invited by Rohit and Indu for their anniversary lunch at Sorfa Kebab House. In the evening, we celebrated Mother’s Day and their anniversary together by cutting our favorite cake, Tres Leches, from HEB. Even Sunil and his family joined us; they had just returned from their Las Vegas trip.
On Wednesday, 15th May, Nanda had her choir concert where she had the opportunity to perform her own composed song.
Afterward, we went to Bawarchi Biryani Point, an Indian restaurant in Richardson
