Scott, Katie, may I congratulate you both. Clearly, the hours you've both invested in practising with your new camera are reaping the rewards. The new material is stunning in its clarity and razor sharp definition. In particular, the close-up work reveals a whole new world of life beyond the (also impressive) landscape and vista shots. You've both clearly got your eye in (as the saying goes). Fab work!

Soup sounds like my smoked oyster stew. I used the potatoes and onions but add a few shredded carrots and mushrooms with condensed milk and butter so it has more flavor. Traditional at Christmas, but good when the weather is cooler. The sheep look so relaxed and summer chill.

For the wooden wall with the short tin roof, I would suggest removing all the tin and replace with longer tin to extend beyond the wooden wall. However, I've got to say in an ideal world, you'd replace the wooden wall with something more robust. Or follow Terry Bulls suggestion.

Years ago ( the 70s I think ) I guy called Phil Drabble did a TV series about his work on a small farm, he’d bought on retirement , that he was turning into a nature reserve - he struggled with Bracken too and , I seem to recall, said that if you cut bracken 3x in 2 years it would go a long way toward eradicating it - I thing he brought in a trio of piglets after the cutting ( done with horsepower I think) to finish it off ….. and provide breakfast!🤷. Please forgive any slight inaccuracy- I am remembering a program from 50 years ago!

Love your cooking videos andstill think you could put together an amazing cook book with pictures and stires. I was raised by my grandmother and great Grandmother in the 50"s and 60's in Detroit, both were Nova Scotia Scotts. When you prepared the Scottish Eggs it took me back to my youth when my Great Gran would make them with pork sausage and place them in my Fathers and Uncles lunch boxes. Never understood what they were until I saw your video in a recent episode.

Actually, selling the soil you dig up from around the footings is a great idea. Sell it as authentic Scottish Jacobite soil. Randomly throw in some artefacts from the period, along with the occasional finger bone from a lab skeleton. Add a disclaimer that the seller is not responsible for buyers popcorning round the kitchen upon delivery.

Songs like, Waitin for my Dearie, I'll go home with Bonnie Jean and The Heather on the Hill...... not sure wether Scott as a Sassenach would enjoy, but hay ho maybe the CD accompanied with a bowl of Cullen Skink would be enjoyable ?! I’m only partway through, but honestly, if anyone ever needed to expand the house, really the only place to do it is on the wooden side. So I wouldn’t put a stone building there. Your other option is to raise the roof and put another story up there.
