surface skimmer running through a diy 4 tier bakki shower with japanese matting then far infrared bakki home type media then through 2 tiers of white pumice
barrel 1 k1 static bed 75ltr k1 type media
barrel 2 k1 static bed 75ltr k1 type media
barrel 3 k1 media moving bed
barrel 4 static alfagrog and white pumice

I bought an ultra sieves 3 about two years ago off a fella near me, think I paid about £240 for it and it was virtually brand new, spent another £40 for the lid which I got from Cotswold and it makes it super quite, I was looking for the evolution aqua one at the time to go with my nexus's but the build quality on the ultra sieve is a million times better and a much smaller foot print. I only use on my skimmer line and its amazing how much crap it collects in a day, I also fitted an 80w Amalgam UV in it where the water comes in and got rid of the 2x55w UV's I had which tidy's up your pipe work massively, the 80w works way better then the two 55w ones ever did, been using the same bulb for 2 years.

You've come long way from first videos I watched and commented on TBF your current set up is something to be proud of considering was budget 😂 I copied and altered your seive shower by using 50mm pipe at bottom of seive for waste collection very impressed with how it's performing running off a retro bottom drain via a 10,000 litre per hr varipump on full power. So thanks for sharing that design 👌👌

Great to see your plans for next year, can't believe winter is so close already but like you the growth I've had this year is unbelievable. It would be refreshing if everyone could just let bygones be bygones and do their own thing, The hobby is becoming so depressing with negativity flying everywhere. People are in it for all different reasons and all I'm seeing at the moment is people not wanting to be in the community or even put a spade in the ground for fear of ridicule/backlash. The big Chag looks like it's grown some and the Kohaku looks great.👍
