"Plant 27" - A Plants vs Zombies Creepypasta

Hello everyone.
Welcome to my first Plants vs Zombies creepypasta. I was HEAVILY inspired by the creepypastas by NeonPlantChris, who makes excellent stories. So inspired in fact, that I even almost matched his editing style. I've always wanted to write PvZ creepypastas, and now that I figured out how to draw digitally, I can add characters in the thumbnails.
Fun fact: I actually wrote this creepypasta back in 2021 on April 26th and continued to write more ever since then. So I've been writing these stories before I even made my channel. I was in 5th grade then, so obviously the one you hear in the video is a remaster I wrote yesterday. I'll post the other stories some time soon! Oh, and the protagonist of Plant 27's name is Sam.

Okay, let me clear this up. "Plant 27" has nothing to do with the 27th plant in the almanac. (Which is Cactus) It's just a random number I thought of for the name of the peashooter back when I first wrote this story. And I spotted another fucking mistake. So you know how in the story, Sam (the protagonist) takes a picture of Plant 27 to use as evidence? If you're wondering why nobody believes him, here's why. Basically when writing, I was getting impatient and kinda forgot everything I had written previously in order to finish the story quicker. If I had known this sooner, I would've changed it. Edit: If you would like, comment if this story makes sense to you, because I feel like it doesn't make sense.

@@Slendytubbie48967 Well, you could always draw your interpretation of what they looked like. However, if you want an accurate depiction, scribble some Peashooters, Sunflowers and Chompers with their stems and necks all twisted in disproportionate ways. Their eyes were nothing but black voids and their elongated mouths were left gaping. Make it look like their soul was pulled from their body in a second.

Indeed, I will try my best to take your words and try to improve on my horror writing. What I've noticed is that I focus too much on making the story less cliché rather than making it actually scary. And after reading your comment, I realized that I need to focus more on the scare factor and consistency rather than being incredibly unique. It was quite difficult to write this story, because like I mentioned in the description, the original story was written in 2021. I was in 5th grade, so my horror writing was very cliché and awful. The original story was so confusing and weird, so it was really hard to remaster this in a way that would make sense. I think what I assumed was scary about the story was the fact that it was unknown. It just happens suddenly, and then quits. That's why the corpses just randomly appeared, because there's no logical reason why. So it leaves you questioning what's going on. But I think you were right on how the protagonist shouldn't have felt a fear, but rather a disgust. Also, I think my interpretation of my story is that Plant 27 symbolizes the young boy who went missing (which was the 27th missing person) and the corpses represented the others. But as you said, the story doesn't explain if 27 is either murdered or he IS the missing boy. Not does it give any hints about what he is or what he's doing here. Also the fact that the protagonist took a photo of 27 and the corpses but nobody believes him was my mistake. I know it seems quite foolish, but literally I had completely forgotten that he'd taken a picture of them. I guess I should’ve re-read my own story to see if it all makes sense. When listening to it after the video was already uploaded, that's when I caught the mistake. I supposed it could be brushed off as the people saying, "Oh it's Photoshop or a mod or something." But still I feel like that doesn't make any sense. For the inconsistency, I apologize. Other than that, you gave some pretty good criticism to help me improve. I’m writing one right now called, “Orange Juice” so I will take your criticism into consideration when writing. Thanks. I might edit this comment if I can think of anything to say later. (I don't even know if this essay I wrote even makes sense, but it made sense in my head. Plus, if I had completely disregarded some things you said in your comment, then that's my fault. I did read the entire comment, but sometimes when I read something long, I tend to forget a lot I just read. I guess that explains the part of the story where he takes a picture but still nobody believes him. I may check out your stories because from all of your knowledge about creepypasta writing, they sound pretty good! Any thoughts on The Land of No Return?

Hey man. It’s fine ^^ You saw your mistakes and you didn’t like them. I understand. I made mistakes too when I was trying to make my creepypastas xvx” And the unknown is a perfect fear! I see what you were trying to go for after seeing what you said ^^ but what I say is, make it where it’s slowly suspenseful. you feel uneasy because the game you recognize feels like something doesn’t belong in here. and you don’t know what it is until it is too late. This is what I mean by unknown. If could give you another advice I suggest a video on “what makes a creepypasta good?” By RyeToast. He’s excellent at explaining what horror should be in a creepypasta and how to make a good creepypasta.

No problem man. Like you said, the unknown would be scarier with some build up. In "Plant 27" the horror definitely just kinda appears in the listeners' face without any build up. A perfect example would be when 27 and the corpses just appear. Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to check out the video.
