PLANT bare root FRUIT TREES: Lazy Way is BEST!

In late winter, Bare Root Fruit trees are showing up in Nurseries EVERYWHERE! Costco also carries a nice selection of bare root fruit trees. And you can easily buy bare root fruit trees online - they are so portable!
So, RIDDLE ME THIS: When is the best time to plant a fruit tree?
ANSWER: 10 years ago!
Second best time? TODAY!
No excuses - go get a few, your future self will thank you!
In a gardening class the about growing food, the instructor said that the lazy way of planting fruit trees is the way to go!
-Don't bother to dig a very deep hole
-Do NOT amend
-Do not work the soil too much

Where did u buy it n how much? When should can you harvest?

I bought it at Costco (sorry I don't remember the price). It will probably be 4-5 years before I can harvest.

Will having the established root system that close to the fence interfere with replacing the fence posts later?If a bad neighbor cut off the upper overgrowth would the tree still be okay being so one sided?Can you trick a new fruit tree into thinking the seasons are passing faster if you pot it and make it be warm for awhile and cool like the weather was changing?

@@SuperDave71176k they are dwarf fruit trees and said to have a more compact root system so I am hoping most of the feeder roots stay within a 2-3 foot radius. I am not sure whether potting and manipulating the temperature conditions would make it bear faster. Chill hours are low on these trees...it's an interesting experiment that maybe someone out there has tried already? Don't know 🤔
