What is the primary soil type to use dutch pro nutrients in? What if the soil is pre-amended already?
@ricogriek72643 жыл бұрын
Any type of soil will work. However if you use a heavy amended soil, you have to lower nutrient usage. When you use a light amended soil mix, you can go full strength

I've noted that Dutch Pro Grow A&B has NPK of 3-2-5 and that Bloom is 4-1-6. The latter surprised me as I would have expected lower nitrogen and higher phosphorus. I previously understood that phosphorus needed to be higher for weeks 1-3 in flower. Explode's ratio is 0-0-4, which makes sense in later flower for an increasing potassium requirement. By comparison, Plagron Terra Bloom is 2-2-4, NPK RAW Bloom is 2-12-12 (higher because it's a powder) and General Hydroponics Terra Aquatica TriPart Bloom is 0-5-4. Why is Dutch Pro's phosphorus content in Bloom so low?

Phosphorus is one of those 'marketing elements' which is overhyped. Yes phosphorus is needed in large quantities and an important element as part of the NPK, but what a lot of people don't know because nutrient companies don't want it to be known is that only a small fraction of phosphorus is uptaken by the plant. Phosphorus is prone to bind to heavy metals like aluminium and iron in the substrate. Also, phosphorus is needed to create ATP (energy) molecules. Although this is crucial and is needed in large quantities, it is not needed in as large the quantities many nutrient companies want you to believe in. It is often a cheap upsell. Lastly, NPK numbers need to be rounded down by legislation, so NPK numbers itself doesn't say much as the actual percentage can be much higher. For example we have products which have almost an extra point extra of N-P-K but due to legislation we need to round it down almost a whole point. Also, NPK numbers only say so much as the quality of raw materials which is crucial can't be compared by looking at the numbers. We have been in the business for over 35 years and the extensive research that we have conducted over the last man years led us to this recipe which is clean, offers extremely good results, and it won't break the bank. let me know if you have more questions.

@@DutchproNutrients thanks for the detailed reply. Knowing that Dutch Pro is used by many growers with success I didn't think it was a problem - just something I didn't understand that needed clearing up. Looking down through the comments I noticed that you've replied to everything so I was hopeful I'd get a good answer. I did. Thanks again

Very interesting & informative, especially when considering the dosage. It states here to use from 2ml - 8ml per gallon. Yet the instructions on the bottle state to use 1ml per litre or 1000/1!. So now I'm confused, but think it is best to follow the dosage suggested on here. Anyone else care to comment on this topic?.

do you mean the A+B base feed? With the base feed you use more per liter or per gallon compared to the additives. The additives run at 1 ml per liter (silica at 0.4 ml per liter) or 3.8 ml per gallon (silica at 1.2 ml per gallon). The A+B Base feed run anywhere between 2-4 ml per liter or 8.5 - 12.5 ml per gallon. Let me know and I will help you.

@@DutchproNutrients Thank you so much for your response here, is much appreciated. I should have been more specific regarding the nutrient in question. I omitted to state it was actually The Dutch Pro Explode additive I was querying the dosage of.
@DutchproNutrients3 жыл бұрын
@@galaxion62 3.8 ml per gallon or 1 ml per liter. However, you do increase the dosage as you go along in the flower cycle. This cause your plants can handle more of the Explode once they become bigger
