So enjoy our weekly visits! I just sit and enjoy my morning coffee while you inspire me to get up and “git ‘er dun”! This week I am redoing my guest bathroom - painted the ceiling on Monday; rested my 71-year old bones on Tuesday; painting the walls today and the cabinets tomorrow. Now I’m wondering if I could find a pretty wall paper for one feature wall? See! You are the premier motivator! Thanks, Mary, you are a DOLL!

So delightful! Love, love it! However if you wallpapered any larger space you could have run into problems with your technique. I’ve learned the hard way to leave extra paper length at the top and bottom so you can cut it off after laying it to account for ceiling and floor unevenness. The same goes for the last piece on the right side-leave extra width for cutting off to account for unevenness in the wall. And if you are continuing around a corner always cut the paper about an inch after going around the corner to allow for shrinkage that happens when the paper dries-just butt the next piece snugly up to the corner. And always start your first piece with a drop line mark, as house don’t always have even walls. Maybe this is too much info, but I hope it makes sense for anyone doing a larger project. I’ve learned the hard way! ❤️. I love how fearless you are!

Love the wallpaper. I used to hang wallpaper when I was in college to earn spending money. I have been hanging wallpaper for over 30 years. Trust me on this: use wallpaper paste instead of water even with pre-pasted wallpaper. It is soooo much easier, less messy, and works better. You don't have to worry about overworking the wallpaper and losing the pre-pasted glue on the edges. I'm glad spring has sprung up in your neck of the woods!

Wonderful how 2 strips of wall paper transformed that corner. The ladder is a great country addition, too. Love your ingenuity in dealing with wetting the paper and getting it to the wall! They make a tray that isn't too different from a long rectangular plant holder you'd see on a porch railing, that you put water in and keep beside you as you work along a wall. Love seeing the variety of pots and particularly the two with geometric raised sides and the larger one you filmed in front of. They are beautiful accents to the plants and your decor. Love the arrival of the birds and their songs as well!

Mary...after 20plus years and going through master gardener courses through Michigan State University I have learned a few things about gardening. One thing that was a game changer for me is I NEVER water my plants directly from the faucet...it shocks the plants if it’s too cold or too warm. I use my rinse water from the dishes and store it under the kitchen sink in a rinsed out vinegar jug and I use 1/4 tsp of miracle grow in each gallon to help them survive the long Michigan winters. The little bit of soap in the rinse water has helped to deter from having spider mites too which is another plus. I truly do enjoy your vlogs about EVERYTHING you share with us and I normally don’t comment too much but just wanted to share how I get my plants through the long winter season. Do with it what you choose because I only ask to be enlightened and entertained!!!:):):)

The result is beautiful. When you forgot to cut the second strip to size, I thought, "She really is human!" I mean it as a compliment, if I had a fraction of your talent and skill, I would be happy! We have had some lovely warm weather here in Israel in the Judean mountains too and the birds are singing in the trees. Happy spring!.
@cposwife3 жыл бұрын
Hey there Susie, I know exactly what you meant about human. 🙂🙂🙂 All of Mary’s projects turn out perfectly, doesn’t matter if it’s wallpapering or rebuilding a chest of drawers into a buffet. Her gifts and talents, seem to have no limits... 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I also wanted to reply after seeing that you’re in/from Israel, what an amazing place to live. All those beautiful biblical locations, in every direction, oh my goodness. And new discoveries, what a blessing... Is it green and lush with plants and flowers in the Judean mountains, or is it more sparse and desert like landscaping? Does it snow up there in the mountains? I grew up in west Texas, surrounded by orangy colored fine dust, dust storms, tumbleweeds of every size (some as big as cars, regardless of size, they sure can scratch up the paint), mesquite trees (their really ugly, but add a great flavor to food, when used on a bbq pit) and way too many scary rattlesnakes. Just imagine a scene from an old cowboy movie. 🙂🙂🙂 My family moved six hours away to north Texas. It’s pretty, a lot greener, with regular trees, and black sticky clay like dirt. Thankfully no more dust storms, tumbleweeds, and blessedly No rattlesnakes, at least I haven’t seen or heard of any. 😉😉😉 I’m a southern woman, I love to chat, so please feel free to ramble on with me, I love making new friends!!! 🌸🌸🌸 One more thing, Please know that you and your country are in mine, my family (and sooo many others) prayers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Take care, and God bless and keep you safe. ✝️💟🛐✡️
