Man guys, I just want to say thank you for all the wisdom! I’m a new indoor grower, I built everything I have from scratch. Your technics have taught me many things, I’ve jumped in head first. I’m topping, bending, tying, snapping, twisting, and of course the super cropping. I think I’m doing well but have no gardening sensei, to tell me I’m doing anything wrong. I wish I had one of you guys !!!

Pigeons, I am both thrilled to have a Notthern grower on here and depressed at how accurate your statements are. I live in upstate NY, not far from the Canadian border and omg it's all true. We are all in hibernation mode for at least 6 months of the year, we get @3 months of summer (if we r lucky) and fall goes to winter in just weeks. Everything and everyone goes dormant, no living or green plants, almost no animals, no one is walking down the road (because it's filled w ice etc) Temps are so cold u run to the car then back to the house... I'm about to grow in my not very isolated garage for the first time this year...wish me luck 🍀. Great to have you on the show, I just subscribed and will be following. Thanks for sharing everyone :)

Great video and im a little late. I feel topping is great because it slowes the growth above ground while the roots are still growing. Even if the pot is too small for the roots, you still have the root size to support a larger plant that is ready for flowering stage.

Great topic. I just came in from defoliating my girls. Week 6 veg. All big fans but the top 2 on every stem. I got my training skills from Pigeons420 and my defoliating from Mr.Canucks. I couldn't see myself not training my plants. Too many benefits come from doing it.

Yeah, with my adhd i relate to a lot of what Pigeons says although I really like Robb's approach, having an organic and a synth garden and im sure he said he's got a water only tent and i do really respect that effort in the pursuit of what hes aiming to grow. I find Robb's 'theres no one right way to do this' message really helpful; especially when im not in a position to shell out for expensive equipment or supplements. Great show, all three are legends.

My preflower defol consists of removing a lot of the little side branches “suckers” in the tomato world. But while leaving most of the leaves except the bottom 3rd. The Chris said, they are the solar panels. If they even get a little light they will be beneficial. Also for a backup food storage. Once they start fading out to yellow they get the snip.

Really appreciate the effort and enthusiasm of you guys content. Growing outdoor here in Virginia, wondering if you guys will do a outdoor specific podcast? My biggest challenge has been keeping bugs off the plants
@jdawginu26683 жыл бұрын
Plant your native bugs favorite plant away from your plants. A mini deterrent is helpful. I've got plum trees 50 ft away outdoors that the native bugs prefer. No issues here. Good luck
@rawniew3 жыл бұрын
@@jdawginu2668 that's a good idea!
@davidbryden79042 жыл бұрын
If you have the space, I'd try to kinda spread the plants around the area. It seems like the bigger the patch the more of a magnet it is to the bugs. I plant things that deter the pests close by my crop, and lure plants ( that the particular bug REALLY likes) I place further away. This requires you to identify the pest first, but it was successful for most pests I've had except cabbage lopers. They were devastating!! Best of luck 👍

I trained my first plant using Pigeon's twisting and bending methods and had 13 colas on my first ever plant i grew. Loved the results. I topped one of the side colas and it went from 1 cola to 4 colas from one branch. The bending definitely resulted in less recovery time.
@yurimodin73333 жыл бұрын
you do what you gotta do sometimes. I had a CHONKER of an autoflower one time that was basically growing into the light. So I supercropped a couple colas half way up about half way through flower to even out the canopy.......she still gave me a QP.

The first time I did super cropping, i was sitting there watching Kyle kushman do “Kushman chiropractics” and was just like let’s do it! Got super pumped and proceeded to give it a whirl… I damn near cried watching her slump over from it. Panic was the go to emotion 😂 she came out great, but that first time is scary.

Thanks for the great training tips. My first grow was last year and grew white widow cbd autoflower and the plant didn’t grow very tall. This year I grew white widow regular autoflower and has stretched close to the lights in the first week of flower. I know I’ve missed the boat on planned training. Any suggestions on what to do now. Bending, pruning in order to avoid getting to close to lights? Thanks and keep the information coming!

I think I've used every training technique on this grow that I'm aware of other than schwazzing and I'm close to that one too I just stopped at 3 or 4 nodes per branch before flip next week. Looking forward to my biggest harvest ever if all goes well. I finally knuckled down and started using bigger pots and longer veg. First legal grow here in Ohio and I'm hoping it goes according to plan. Garlic cookiesx3 , 1 sour papaya, 1 lemon tree, 1 mystery mints. Here goes nothing.

Can you get a good yield using 2 gallon fabric pots?
@jucedcustoms22743 жыл бұрын
You 3 are very knowledgeable. There is only one technique that outperforms all others. Its Pigeons "how do you do" touch and manipulate those tops. My yields have went from mediocre to unbelievable!
@Jesus-Lives-In-You3 жыл бұрын
Do you have a link to this?
@jucedcustoms22743 жыл бұрын
Watch some his videos when he didn’t show his face. In veg he does the same technique over a d over. You twist the tops lightly till they bend over or are weak.
@jucedcustoms22743 жыл бұрын
Do it every day in veg or as often as they bounce back and can handle the stress. Don’t over twist to a weak point where the material separates.
