Great un-boxing, thanks for sharing and the updates. I suggest to keep the philodendron into a prop box or into a big zip lock bag to keep high humidity for it to grow back. I had a p.mumai that lost leaves but I put it into high humid bag and it grow back. Good luck and happy growing.

I found a baby mag in my shipment from Ecuagenera. I’d highly suggest getting all the plants into a very humid environment. I’ve used dry cleaning bags successfully. They also need a lot of light. I’ve imported over 100 plants this year and only had around a 60% success rate until I bought a tent. My success rate went up with the bags and shot up with a tent. I bought 4 queens in my last import and all 4 are growing. The previous 4 I bought all died. The Regale will croak on you if it’s not in high humidity. It’ll probably croak even in high humidity. She’s a fussy brat. My Fred*** acclimated beautifully. Its flowered 1/2 a dozen times since I got her. It’s a fun plant! Good luck with all your beauties!

Thank you sweetie for your help! I have a growtent and all of the plants (and stumps) are in there now except for the “freddie” 😃 Haha yes I’ve heard now that regale can be fuzzy as h*ll. I didn’t know they before 🙈 I’m happy for your success with your plants! 😍 this is the first time for me importing so I hope I’ll figure it out as well! But the grow tent will definitely be used! 🙏

The Anthurium regale is gorgeous! 😍I didn't know you could order from Ecuador and get the plants shipped via Germany. Did you specifically ask them to do that for you, or is that just something they do when shipping to customers in Europe? You're a brave person who dared to order the plants in the middle of winter. I once got in touch with Ecuagenera Europe and asked them what would be the minimum temperature safe for shipping aroids and they replied +10°C, I think (it was a while ago). But if you follow Sydney Plant Guy you will know that he keeps some of his aroids in his yard. I've asked him how cold it can get there during the winter and he said around +5°C or +3°C and occasionally even almost down to 0° 😮I had no idea that tropical aroids could withstand such low temperatures. I've only ordered from Ecuagenera Europe, but every time I did get the plants in nursery pots. Do you know what cf after the scientific name cf stands for?

Hi! They always ship to ecuagenera Europe first so that we don’t need to handle the customs ☺️ but it does take a bit longer though. Yes it’s risky but as long as the companies know how to pack I usually order all year around but not it’s under -5 though ☺️ Cf is like the plant isn’t exactly the original plant but close to. Like philodendron lynnhahnonie cf - is almost exactly as the lynnhahnohnie but not 100% so they add cf

The last few plants I ordered from them were terrible. They sent a philodendron Brandi and looked like a philodendron sidorio cutting someone grabbed off the ground and stuffed in a pot.

I expected that the anthurium would look worse than every other plant. But it looks amazing! Especially with the price I’m kinda jealous 😂 The Bessea makes me sad 🥲 Also thank you for the haul and telling the prices from the plants and the shipping!
