I'm with you on landscape fabric Melissa!! I too am still finding it and removing it in my flowerbeds and its been 11 years since it was put down! I don't know how many loads of soil and mulch have gone down in those 11 years but I can still find that darn stuff when I plant things! Love all your new plants, happy gardening!

Good morning Melissa, I am also a San Diego gardener… A tiny balcony/front door/steps entrance gardener. Maybe, I don't have the right to call myself a gardener… Maybe, an avid plant lover😂. Me too, I am experimenting with hydrangeas (We We White and Can Dance). So far, I got 2 blooms and I am ok with that. Zone 10b… 2 blooms… It is more than my heart can ask for. FYI: Your garden is simply inspirational. And your tomato alley is wonderful. Keep on growing. This inspires us, avid plant lovers to also experiment… Even in tiny balcony spaces. Hermine

You are absolutely adorable!! I just subscribed to your channel yesterday:). I’m so glad you mentioned sucker punch in your video. I remember Janey talking about it but I forgot what it was called. Perfect timing for me. Thank you so much.

Melissa, what is the name of the beautiful white flowering plant the bee was snacking on? Does it grow in the shade? Penny
@ThePieceFullGarden5 ай бұрын
Hi Penny! It’s called SallyFun Snow White Salvia. Yes Sun to part part shade. I have some other Salvia in mostly shade and it’s doing great. Always worth trying. It’s just so pretty and I definitely want to plant more! ☺️

Good morning. Please explain to me why most gardeners whom video always wear white T-shirts and when they are done in the dirt of their garden, the T-shirt still looks white. I have worn white T-shirts when I work in the garden and I must be doing something wrong as I am a mess and my shirt is not white. I must not be a good gardener. Who knows. It must be really hard work to pull out the Landscape fabric. I really try to tell my customers when I am at work to not use landscape fabric in the garden as nothing will grow and the ground will become hard as rock. Just use landscape fabric on the lane way/walk way or somewhere were you will not be planting anything. You should see their faces when explained why.

😂😂 oh I definitely have my days where I get covered in dirt! I think the camera hides it 😂 I wish someone would have told me about landscape fabric in the beginning, we covered the ENTIRE garden in it. Most of it has been removed and the soil is recovering, but sometimes I find areas I missed buried underneath. Oh well ya live and ya learn. Thank you for educating people on it, I’m sure you have saved many gardens ☺️☺️
