Thanks Volko. This looks like a game that has benefitted from a lot of very thorough historical research. It's on my wish list.

Nice work, this is a great overview! I'm looking forward to the customizations built into this one. Among other things, the addition of the influence system and the subtraction of some of the traditional sacking/ravaging mechanics look to make this another great addition to the series, with a nice balance between familiar and new. And the dynamic grand campaign looks to have a massive amount of replayability and narrative. Looking forward to this!

It’s commonly misunderstood that Richard is lamenting the loss of his kingdom due to the lack of a horse , not the willingness to trade his kingdom for a horse, which would make no sense.

Even though I’ve struggled with prior volumes in the series, I am very much looking forward to this entry (the history is so fascinating). This was a terrific cinematic presentation Volko, worthy of a repeated viewing. Thank You!

This looks very promising. The War of the Roses needed a different treatment and it seems to have had it. I have no idea who commissioned the box art but I'm deeply underwhelmed by it. With all the beautiful artwork from the period available and some really skilled artists doing box art these days, I'm surprised that GMT have gone with something so lacklustre. I guess, to quote Shakespeare again, 'there is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so'.

True but for the amount of time I spend looking at the box lid better a plain box and a lovely map.

I actually found Plantagenet to be my favorite cover artwork of the Levy & Campaign series so far. The understated impression feels more appropirate to the era and holds a simple charm that I find endearing. I would like to see the artist who did Plantagenet do all of the covers, not just for the sake of continuity, but because I find the style enjoyable.

How do you think the complexity is compared to the rest of the series?
@volkoruhnke26 Жыл бұрын
I think it is a touch less complex than the previous 3 volumes, mainly because Siege, Storm, Bypass, and Ravage are all gone. But there is accounting for Influence, an Influence Check procedure, and other new elements instead.

Fresh look at the Wars of the Roses. Definietly will pick this one once it reaches EU stores. Going through full campaing of Almoravid at the moment & feeling like I finally got a grip of the system. Been enjoying it tremendously as of late.

This period used to send me to sleep in history class at school... but for whatever reason I have to admit this game has stirred my interest! It sounds like it's going to be less complex (in some ways at least) than the other L&C games, so would it work as a first foray into the series?
@volkoruhnke26 Жыл бұрын
I think so! (I provided some more detail over on Mastodon.)

Hello ! Mr. Volko, could you please explain how to modify tracking influence, I reading rule book, background book, example, and foldout but did not understand how it's work. I am understand that English isn't my native language, but everything go well, rules is normal to understand but exactly how influence points work with tracking where subtract and when flip marker this is really difficult. Could you please show formula, because I really want to play this game!

@@X4-Commander hi! Have you been able to contact the designer, Francisco "Pako" Gradaille? He would be the best one to answer your rules question. I would be happy to help get you in touch via Discord or Twitter if needed.
