O boy so many touching stories. My siblings and I sold different things; 'ice water' then graduated to 'pure water', 'soap', 'ice creams', 'water-proof 'etc. But now, all of us are graduates. Most of us are abroad doing very well. I am now a practicing doctor abroad after 1st degree in Naija. Thanks bro for this song, it relates to most of Nigerians.

Common plantain seller now changed his name into Timaya.... from a nobody,God made me a somebody and lift me higher...not just made me a big boy, but a very RICH boy... but I'm still that plantain seller, so even if you sell water or ride okada taxi, Jehova will someday make you prosper... Very humble of Timaya to give people hope by giving example with his life and how things will eventually change. If you believe in yourself....

This is one of my favorite songs, it takes hard work and determination to reach your goals, but only our Heavenly Father YHWH can make it come to pass. As a Master's Degree student who will be graduating next year and a business owner, I give YHWH all the glory. I stay humble and continue to build an empire that can help others. From humble roots in Akwa Ibom to Atlanta, USA.

I never dream I will have a changed life and even do whatever I want . Even a citizen of another country with a good life. AM STILL THAT FIRE WOOD GIRL THAT GIVES HER mom joy and proud PLS always believe in yourself we can mountain if we believe in ourself.

Even though I was born in London, I know the struggle some of my people go through in Africa but hold tight and have faith one day you’ll be someone important in society and respected. I first heard this song 5 months ago while I was visiting my sister and ever since I’d fallen in love with it. I sleep to this song, wake up to it, have it in repeat when I drive to and from work. November 2017 still listening to it and I don’t it’s ever gonna get old. Love

This is a universal message of a person coming from the bottom of society and getting to the top of their game through self belief. Thank you Timaya for reminding us that it doesn't matter how we start up in life for we can work our way up to achieve and eventually live our dreams.
