Good to know about how different the specials are from the standard. Years ago got the standard 5yr. After trying it several times my wife drank most of it with Coke. 😂 They were very nice Rum and Coke's

Yeah these single casks are a different beast entirely, but their base cheap stuff is good for cocktails for sure! I keep a bottle of their 3 for that reason

Hi Erik, interesting, this one, heard of it but alas couldn't try it yet, but glad to hear your thoughts about it....(Kilchoman finish, yes, yes, please-that said it doesn't seem to be a big success). Have you tried Plantation's OFTD I'm crazy about it & its huge value (69 % abv for 39 €, unbeatable). I know that Grays distillery did some Islay finished New Grove (a brand I'm in love with), but havent tried it yet, but yeah, a peated cask finish can be risky, we'll see....Cheers !

I’ve not had the OFTD but sounds right up my alley. Do you see single casks from them often in Paris?

@@MaltMuserWhisky We have some from time to time, La Maison du Whisky has its exclusive, as well as some other rums shops in Paris and/or on line...as they're not exactly cheap I'll wait to try em before I buy, Cheers !
