I got overwhelmed with the amount of plants I had a few months back too. I lost a few, it happens. I try to be more mindful when I buy now. I did recently purchase an anthurium and a small philodendron summer glory that wasn't looking so hot, I'm hoping I can rehab it as those are gorgeous

I tried to grow the string of pearls 5 different times... I can't do it. Hearts and turtles I figured out but I have given up on the pearls. Losing a plant to gain experience happens lol I'm upping my game adding in my first 2 Alocasia. 😅 it hasn't been a week yet since I got them but I am very excited 😊

I recently moved from Alabama to Texas. Same grow zone and extremely humid. I could grow Pearls in Alabama but not in Texas. I have just about every other string plant there is growing beautifully but I sure can't figure out those dastardly Pearls!

Oh gosh David you found so many beautiful plants at Lowe's and I would have wanted alot of them. I had that beautiful lipstick plant that you cut those long stems off of but I got those stupid mealy bugs and most of it died and I did cut off some of the long stems and placed them in water to propagate and keep hoping that it comes back because mine was so big and beautiful. omg I just got one of those Alocasia Ivory Coast plants that you picked up out of the box with all the yellowed leaves! Lowes is kicking ass this year! If you have a Meijer near you, their plants have been amazing as well!

This was a great video! I love watching plant chores videos. Now I’m inspired to tackle some of my vitsjo shelves too! I ❤️ Mrs. Myers as well. I just bought a new bottle of the honeysuckle spray. It really makes cleaning an experience. I use bonide systematic granules to keep pests away and hydrogen peroxide spray & drench to kill fungus gnats. I have some alcohol in a spray bottle ready to destroy mealies.

Don't be embarrassed. We all buy a plant that doesn't work out or we missed a bug or watering. It's trial and error to find plants that love your state / home. I had to throw out a plant today and I've decided me and string of pickles... our relationship will never work out lol.

Try randomly checking out Sprouts and other grocery stores. I found beautiful Alocasias on sale at Sprouts. I've heard Krogers has rare plants too. If you're able to check, you can often find them marked down as the grocery stores don't seem to keep their inventory too long without marking down to sell faster.

It isn't listed. It would be very helpful in figuring out if a store in your area is warranted. I saw a video about rare plants in Dallas, but they were not available at the time in Houston.
