Planting Coreopsis Into The Ground, Where To Plant Coreopsis Flowers

I am transplanting some coreopsis seedlings that I started in the greenhouse. I will also be giving tips on selecting the best spot for planting coreopsis plants outside.

I only recently learned this is the state wildflower for Florida but I've never seen it around in our area of the Northwest part of the state 😂 I have some that popped up in a wildflower seed patch though so I'm sure it will be here forever now 😄

They where probably in the wildflower mix that was planted!

I'm not a fan. We planted some years ago and it had spread into my lawn and is not easy to pull out. I guess I have to keep trimming them so they don't make new seeds...

Perennial coreopsis spreads from roots so it is recommended to divide the plants about every 3-4 years. I've never had mine reseed themselves but I have had them spread by roots.
