What a fun home vlog! I loved watching Jackson plant his Easter egg seeds...and my goodness he is awesome on his scooter! It's just so amazing to watch kids grow and develop their own skills and personalities and it happens so fast! Jenn I love the idea for the spices in the cabinet. We have a lazy Susan in one of our cabinets so that where we put the spices but I don't think those are as common anymore. Tim I'm sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. Jackson's doing great on the scooter, better than i could! :) Jenn - every time you wear that shirt, I WANT IT!!! :) If the "friends from England" are the same ones that made that Full English Breakfast for you, and have been in a few of the videos, I love them - they seem SO nice, and GREAT friends, and I love how they love Jackson! Best boiled eggs: put eggs in cold water in pot cover with lid. Bring to a rapid boil . Turn off. Leave on stove eye for 20 minutes. Drain off hot water. Rinse eggs in cold running water, while cracking egg shell all around. Remove all water. Remove each shell off eggs. Rinse off eggs. Enjoy. Happy Easter!!!!!

I’m sure you’ll get tons of boiled egg recipes, but I have had the best luck getting easy peel eggs by using the intant pot. 4 minutes on high pressure, quick pressure release, then into an ice bath until cool. It also helps to use older eggs, not fresh from the store or farm.

Hi Tim & Jenn. Love this video. Jackson is so adorable! I wanted to tell you how I like to hard boil my eggs. I use my pressure cooker. Best hard boiled eggs ever! Put 1-1/2 cup water in the pot of the pressure cooker, then put a trivet in (a trivet came with mine, but sometimes is a separate purchase), then lay an extra large egg directly on the trivet. Set the pressure cooker oh High and set the timer for 5 minutes. Let it naturally release for 5 minutes (that means do nothing for 5 minutes. Let them sit there). Then put them in a bowl with ice cold water for 5 minutes. They will peel so easy! If you don’t have a DIGITAL pressure cooker yet, you’re missing out on some delicious food!

We used to dye eggs the same way as kids but we cracked shell all over after being hard boiled then dyed. When ready remove the shell and the egg underneath is coloured with a marble pattern and if you use food colour you can eat them. X

I put the eggs in the pan and add water to cover the eggs. Then I boil the eggs 9 minutes, then take them out of the water right away and put in bowl with cold water and 3 ice cubes. They always come out perfect and peel easily. I'll try Google's version next time and see. I am so amazed at each of Jackson's new accomplishment! He is so smart!

Perfect hard boiled eggs in my opinion (im sure many people do it different ways): high heat, as soon as the water comes to a rolling boil, turn the heart right off. Let them sit on the hot burner for 11 minutes and take them out if the water! No need to blanche. Let them sit out on the counter til cool ☺️ works perfectly every time!

Happy Easter! At chef school they taught us to start the eggs in room temp (tap) water, bring to a boil, set timer for 11 min, then take them off heat and run cold water to cool them. Perfect yellow yolk.

Great video! If you add elastic bands around the hard boiled eggs, and then dye them, you can have white stripes on tone eggs! You can also dye the eggs in a dark colour, remove the elastic bands, and then quickly dip the egg in a light colour, the stripes can be dyed a different colour than the rest of the egg!

Pro tip from my mum for peeling boiled eggs. Once they’re cool enough to hold crack the shells and put them in cold water for a bit longer before you peel them. I thought it was just a weird thing she does but it actually makes them easier to peel.

Best way to hard boil eggs. Pre-heat oven to 325. Put eggs in a cupcake tin (no holders) and in oven for 30 min. Then put in ice water for ten. Then peal and eat!!
