Also...... if you were to amend a bag soil like Fox Farm Ocean Forest what would that recipe look like? Ive a feeling im still going to show calcium deficiencies if i dont add more bone meal? Thank you for your time!

ive been growing cannabis in coco, indoors for decades. my products are very solid. Ive never grown in soil. Ive never grown vegetables. so... if my backyard soil is toxic due to chemical leaching from an old battery factory can i substitue Pro Mix or peat for the crappy soil? Perlite,vermiculite? I guess my question is what would your IDEAL mix be if you werent worried about cost? Bat Guano? Seabird poo? Mycorrizhae? Enzymes? I need to learn everything. yes.... even watering technique :) im not selling tomatoes. the costs arent an issue. Thank you for a fantastic video!!!!
@BarbaraMeleraАй бұрын
Please go to our video on the best soil for containers. We us this for everything. It is a proven (over 10,000 plantings) mix. However, unless the leaching has stopped, using any kind of soil will not help. Even the new soil will become toxic.

@harvestinghistoryllc31613 жыл бұрын
Giordana, only Rosa Bianca and Back Beauty produce 2-3 eggplants per plant. Try Black Egg. You will get many more eggplants and they are fairly good size-much bigger than an egg.

For the last recipe, don’t I have to use peat moss for drainage? Thank you for the video!
@harvestinghistoryllc31613 жыл бұрын
Peat Moss keeps the soil from compacting and provides organic matter.

Mary, I apologize for taking so long to respond. In the future, please do not prune your eggplants. If necessary tie them to a stake, but do not prune.

What is the Fertilizer strength
@harvestinghistoryllc31614 жыл бұрын
John, use full strength fertilizer. Do not dilute it. In containers the fertilizer tends to wash through the pot rapidly. Fertilize at a minimum every 2 weeks.

I'm surprised. thought copper kills plants? someone told me not to nail a birdhouse to a tree using copper nails. note - please put a sponge on your mic.
@harvestinghistoryllc31614 жыл бұрын
Gary, Thank you for the advice. Copper fungicide does not kill plants, but it does kill mold and fungi spores. Don't know about copper nails.
@cypherknot3 жыл бұрын
Copper fungicide also kills beneficial soil organisms including earthworms and beneficial fungi.
@harvestinghistoryllc31613 жыл бұрын
Cypherknot, perhaps in large quantity applications this is true, but I can tell you from my own gardens and the abundance of earthworms, that there has been no problem with the copper fungicide. I have been using it for more than a decade and the population of earthworms continues to increase exponentially. Thank you for your comment.
