Just me but i would have sprayed again and waited for the next round of rain, dont hurt to plant a week or two later on brassica, don't want them to get over mature , and could get a better kill on that grass and with brassica they still mature after the first frost cause it's usually not enough to set them back. Im sure im preaching to the choir but would not hurt to mention that cause 99 percent of people plant brassica way to early

Great video man. Im a first time food plotter and I planted Big Sexy this year. I was wondering, what seed rate setting did you use on your Earthway spreader? Also, did using Liquid Courage have any noticeable improvement? Thanks!

#2 setting on the spreder and yes if you combine dirty deeds with granular fertilizer before planting and then spray with liquid courage you see very well improved crop

@@engravedoutdoors4550 Sounds great man, thank you! I know a lot of the big youtubers say like 1 to 1.5, you didnt find 2 was too much? I had a heck of a time trying to seed below setting 2. Didnt seem like enough seed was coming out.

​@@kdsbermanwas it over seeded on 2? It's so easy to over seed these tiny seeds that are impossible to see! 2 common mishaps are over seeding and planting to early on brassica

@@troybrake5686 I seeded on like 1.5-2 and it still seemed to burn through the seed too quick. The second half of the plot I think I seeded on setting 1. With the plants now popping through, I can see the side that got panted too thick, and the side that was just right. I switched seed spreaders as I cannot stand that Earthway, but if I was to plant again with it I'd probably stick with Setting 1. Just from my experience anyway. Thanks man!

​@kdsberman stick with 1 and walk over it 2 times if need be, I found that those seed are hard to see and way more is coming out than you think

Well as of right now it's doing amazing I had full germination in 72 hours! I have quite a bit of domain seed in the ground right now hot chic being the most established and the deer are absolutely pounding it!!

I have land in Central NY. I planted lab lab, winter peas, big sexy and winter rye. My deer are hammering the big sexy right now, a few venture into the other foods but the big sexy has deer all day and night. It is growing awesome despite the heavy use. I expected the Lab Lab would be king, but it's the brassica. Planted Aug 8. 12" tall as of today Sept.1
