I just acquired a set of planters with fertilizer units. I probably won't plant with it, but I'd like set up the fertilzer units for side dressing.

My Dad was an IH man but he had a JD corn planter. They must have been good planters as when I was looking for one I think there were 10 John Deere’s to every other brand and they want way too much for them.

I remember when I was a kid, those "C"s were on just about every small farm around us. Damn things were almost bullet proof!

Yes, here too. And H's. So handy. Grandpa had a C and complained that it would overheat (no water pump). It gets HOT here.

It's simple and fun, but can also try your patience when dealing with worn out, rusted up, frozen parts, etc. But still rewarding when you get it working like it should!

I was initially confused by your comment, but then I remembered some planters have a wheel in the rear.
