My sweet friend! What a beautiful garden you have! What a blessing it is to sit and soak up the history of your land by the original owner herself. I know you cherish that. Can’t wait to meet her! Loved seeing mom and pop miss those guys! Champ the helper, happy free range chickens and those beautiful bees! I agree I could watch them all day! I want to put my order in for some of those watermelons and corn😊 keep up the great work! Let’s get together soon.. love ya😊💜🌸

So funny that you are just going to buy basil plants! Isn't it a plant that is frustrating?! I have sown basil seeds inside this year and it reminds me why I just buy a few plants! That blueberry bush is beautiful! I am growing Blue Lake Bush beans and also the Roma bush beans as well (I have never grown these and so far, they came up super fast and look like pole beans!) My grandpa planted both of these beans on their farm in West Virginia. He loved the Romas best. They are a flat Italian bean and he felt like they stayed really tender (and no strings). The garden is looking great. Makes me tired seeing how huge it is! I do container gardening :) May God bless you with an abundant harvest and joy in your gardening as well.

I just resowed more basil seed. I think maybe it just hasn’t been warm enough, maybe! They are very frustrating! I did go buy me some, but you just can’t have too much basil. Thank you for the info on the Roma. I’m so glad to know about them. That’s awesome about your grandpa. I love that you will think of him ever time you are amongst your Roma’s. if they are a pole bean then I guess Gene will be making e more bean trellises. God bless!

You and your family are so inspirational. Thank you for sharing your time, family & garden with us. I can’t wait to the video when you have a chat & some sweet tea with your neighbor ( hopefully the coronavirus will be over soon.) That would be a great video. I’d love to see a day in the life video. How do you balance you prayer life, family, work, cleaning, cooking and gardening.

I'm new to your channel and I'm obsessed. My dream after retirement is to have a small piece of land to garden. Im from the city and always thought you drop a seed in the ground and something grows. I've already learned so much from you.

Hi linda edwards! Thank you so much. I’m so excited you found us and thank you for watching. I hope you find your perfect piece of land to garden when you retire. I believe God will give you the desires of your heart. Maybe you can grow some food in containers now! You can learn so much starting out with containers. Blessings!

Just warm enough here, steadily to get started...you really got me motivated!!! Loved your companion planting combos, will be trying myself! The past two years I have been trying bat guano for fertilizer, really good results, other than on the zucchini and it not only went crazy on growth (enormous fast) made them change colors!!! Lol so sticking to it for flowers only! Thanks you and God bless!

Hey Holly Webster! I’ve never tried the bat guano I’ve read great things about it, but never tried it. Good to know about using it on the zucchini. Thank you for sharing. Happy gardening!

As always I love this video. You always have such great ideas. I am so inspired. I had to to cover up the few things that I have planted already. My momma always told me if it thunders in February it will have a light frost in April. And her other was “ Don’t plant anything until Good Friday “ which to me only works if Easter is in April. Of course she wasn’t growing a garden😉. Can’t wait to see if your father-in-law’s okra grows.

Hi Lisa! I hope the cold is over! But you never know in Alabama. It could snow next week😏. I’ve never heard that about thunder in February, but my papa would have a fit if he knew I planted tomatoes before Good Friday! Thank you so much for watching our videos and thank you for always sending me such encouraging comments, I value each and every one! Blessings!
