Can't agree with you more. At first, when I looked at the thumbnail, I found it quite dumb and sill. When I knuckled down to it, I thought that the goal of this strategy was delaying all the zombies till the last flag and let the lawn mowers do the rest. Yet, the watermelon finished them all. So many surprises. Much love and respect for the guy that invented this set up.

The fact that he left 500 sun, 3 winter melons with 3 potato mine is that winter melons still deals damage and slow effects to other lanes so he separated his winter melons, and the remaining sun are used for placing thyme warps to prevent all the zombies to get closer. With the winter melon's slow effect helps him buy time recharging the thyme warp so he can place it again to avoid danger. The definition of work smart, not hard xd

I saw the thumbnail and thought to use three Wintermelons like you did, but also two Lightning Reeds. Also one Magnet-Shroom. Two well-timed Thyme Warps and Plant food used on the magnet and I won using no lawn mowers! Thanks for the inspiration

This saved my life omg. You can also put two magnets between the watermelon and still have enough sunlight for the reserve time plant.

I beat this level 2-3 games only. I immediately thought about putting winter melons as it do splash damage. I also do this strategy. My other strategy is putting 2 winter melons, 5 lightning reeds and bunch of thyme warp and it is also effective for me.
