Hi Devin, I'm a "liker" and subscriber from Lake Charles, LA near the Gulf of Mexico, and subtropical and we can grow these outside about 95% of the year. Once in a while in the winter we get a light freeze, but it will usually warm into at least the 40's the following day. I just scoot my potted Senecio inside for the night. I say "my" chalk sticks, but they're really belong to a lady friend of mine who also has the succulent bug but trusts me to take care of it for her. About a month ago she had ordered about 25 of these little jobbers that were about 5-6 per stem, so I put the majority of them in an oblong terra cotta pot with the remaining plants in a smaller round pot, all in succulent soil. I'm surprized you don't use rooting powder, but I guess it's really not necessary, although it certainly increases your chances of success. Happy gardening! 🪴🌵

For these awesome plants, they root so quickly I’ve never needed to use the powder

I have a plant, someone gave it to me, i thought it was a blue chalk stick, however the leaves dont dry up at the bottom, the get bigger. It is a succulent. Any ideas what it is ? It looks just like yours, other than the leaves are tappered in size to the top and the one at the bottom are pretty big comparatively

Mine is almost 5 years old and I’m just starting to learn about proper care. I keep it outside in central Texas and only bring in for freezing weather. It does fine in full sun and near total neglect. (Only watered by rain.) Maybe shade props for the first week.

Is anyone willing to share a cutting please

Also be careful if you have pets, because evidently blue chalk sticks are toxic to pets.
