That is an incredible amount of determination and focus to create something so ornate. I don't think anyone in the world had made anything quite like that since the 1800's... back then it wasn't called steampunk, its just the way things were. I really appreciate what you have done here. 😍😍😍😍😍

You're a madde genius artist, don't sell yourself short! Looking at that lacy wheelbarrow, I think making it an "electric firepit" would be cool- utilizing those LED torch bulbs, orange/yellow flickering Christmas lights, random metal rod and planks for firewood... perfect for a hot summer night when an actual fire would be too hot to circle the chairs around. And, if you tired of that look, it would be easy to remove and redecorate for another configuration.

Beautiful work! I am new to plasma cutting. Can you tell me what amp and air setting you are using for this thickness of material? Also what are you using to mark the wheelbarrow so it doesn't wipe off while cutting? Thank you
@marcijunebug Жыл бұрын
Thank you kindly, those were some of the very first pieces I cut! I use an air setting of about 16-30psi...is at 2-4 kgf/cm2 on my regulator on the cutter itself...and for the thinner metals I am usually around 20-25A...but honestly I just have to play around with it for each piece. You want it to cut clean with the least amount of slag on the back...I know for my saws I use 20a and about 20psi...I use a soapstone (welding pencil) that I have sharpened in an old style BOSTON pencil sharpener! It will wipe off but I cut from the outside in as not to disturb by lines. I hope that helps and best of luck! Thanks so much for the comment! Marci, You are indeed an artist. I was impressed when I observed the pattern you transferred to the bucket of the wheelbarrow. At the conclusion of the video, you swept up a small pile of primarily metal oxide debi. Later, I thought of that debi and what might not be in that pile, like some specific metal carbonyls. Be thoughtful about what might be alloyed into the metal that you are cutting with a torch. Have you ever considered where the name of the element “nickel” emerged from? Laborers in iron smelters in the times probably before the Middle Ages, suffered when certain ores were sheltered. Eventually one of the components of this “devil’s ore” was identified. The element identified is today known as nickel. The name nickel is derived from “old nick” or “the Devil.” Nickel carbonyl is volatile and toxic. So please be thoughtful about the composition of the piece of metal that you are scarifying for the sake of art.
