Looking good, well done the both of you. The rattle is called a wobble globe. My son had one 40 years ago and my brother in law did exactly the same as you Borja and also had a bruise… hilarious at the time. I remember my brother in law asking me what he could do to cover the bruise… my suggestion of sticking the wobble globe back over the bruise was not appreciated 🤣🤣

Good tips about the mortar. A lot of work - but so worth it. Guttering is such a pain to keep clear. We’re in a fire zone, so keeping the lower gutter clean is essential. And poor Borja. I really empathise with him trying to entertain babies. I’m pretty clumsy, but my aunt takes the cake. She had her young baby in a little wheelbarrow and was wheeling her around the outside of the house on the paving. Turned a corner and because she had her head down, watching the baby laughing, didn’t see the opened hopper window. Mild concussion and a few stitches later (and head wounds REALLY bleed!), it became that family story that never gets old. (No babies were harmed - and that baby is now a grandmother herself.)

I always enjoy these videos so much. Watching you guys find a solution for nearly every problem is somehow satisfying to watch. I wonder if using wood filler is practical for some of the beans for example, to make it smooth across large cracks to cover them up. We used to take saw dust from the wood so the color is the same. Mix the wood dust with a clear glue and stir to a paste and fill in the holes. If you wanted, line the top area above the glue paste with wood splinters to disguise the filler. Careful not to use a glue that dries too fast, you need to have time you need to work with it.

Perhaps a tabletop decor piece with a botanical placed in the hole..a thriller, a filler, and a spiller...An accent piece mounted outside an entrance with seasonal greenery?

The windows being cleaned up looks good, but the paint over lap is there for a reason. Over painting onto the glass makes a seal that protects the wood from water ingress, and prolongs the life of the window.

If you were to do all this remodeling in CA ie San Francisco you would be delayed by decades getting permits pulled and signed off. Then you will spend more money hiring lawyers to go to court to battle neighbors who did not want anything done due to noise, jealousy. envy "blocking my view etc". Sad for us great for the "Tiny Estate".
