Looks like you had an easier morning than me....Good job you didn't ghost hunt my first coat I had a proper nightmare with sagging for some strange reason,end up leaving it a while then had to sponge it to get it flat enough for second coat

What head torch are you using? I had a guy working for me once and he was so proud of his plaziflex until I shone a light down it. More like zombie marching than ghost hunting😅.

I did a kitchen wall recently, looked mint when I left, once it was painted & the sun came around it looked bad to be fair. It only looks bad for 1 hour of the day, once the sun moves it looks very good.

@Plastersmurf74 No it was very fine white rolls . It was really shit to use and you had to butter the board joints first before scrimming
@GeoffAnderson-l5d5 күн бұрын
@@ianturner8459 I think I've still got a couple of rolls of it in the depths of my garage somewhere. That's if it hasn't rotted away by now as it'll be about 40 years old!

I’m 56 when I first started at 16 think we use to call it bandage scrim/cotton scrim that was before joot/brown wool scrim, fibre tape came out how easy did that make the job lol
@ianturner84595 күн бұрын
@@Dutchy8ball Yes the old days when you had to cut all the scrims first then mix up a bucket of skim to butter all the joints before you started skimming the ceilings and walls ..😁

Poor mudwork on the ghost hunt. A good finisher could avoid that.

Just to be clear , I wasn't referring to the plaster work. Only the mudwork. Looked like a beginner did the mudwork. Not indicative of all drywall mudwork , depends on the finisher.
