What is the basic material cost from your supplier for a car the size of a PT cruiser in flat black?

I pay list price for all the products I use. so for a PT cruiser you can price 2 gallons of Full Strength Plasti Dip, and 2 gallons of VM&P at Lowes. Just a side note the PT is a relatively small car, but the roof will take up a large amount of dip. You may want to price 3 gallons of dip and 3 gallons of thinner.

I seen the dodge video you did a while back and was curious if you sanded what you primed before your sprayed dip over it. I have a primed hood and it has some surface to it and was wanting to know if the dip would have surface to it since the primer does.

Why mask off the lights and emblems if you are still spraying over and will peel off anyway? And how smooth was it spraying that far away? I looks great on camera

I mask off the lights because I do not spray over them very thick. Overspray does get on the taped off lights, but not enough to make it easy to peel. It cuts down on waste. I try to put as much of the dip on the car as possible. We ran our hands across it when it was finished, and the finish felt very smooth.

Hey puzzleman what can I use to thin out plasti dip instead of naptha or xylene they don't sale in California anymore. Just want to get your opinion before I spend the money and it doesn't work. Thanks.

I noticed that one of your first videos was with a Wagner vs the dyc paint hvlp. I have a lv with 1.4 tip. Would it work? What's your thoughts on this?

I have no idea what the tip on my old wagner was. But the DYC sprayer has the 1.4mm tip, so your gun should do the same job.

I guess I'm alone in not liking this. I never really liked color change stuff. The small black wheels on the mustang don't help the look either. Nice work, though. You get better with each project 👍
