Packy had a blast with all of the fans at the 2023 PBA Skill Ball Challenge, but the bowling was rough! The skill patterns with the skills ball was an exceptionally difficult challenge!

I think there should be more of this kind of tournament in the PBA. It’s really interesting to see everyone using one ball to really test bowlers’ versatility.

Pba used to have a televised plastic ball tournaments every year. Was actually entertaining you can still find a couple of them on here

They tried with the plastic ball challenge in Denver. Some guys wouldn’t play because they were scared - Wes - and it went away after a few years. I love the idea. I’d make it box finish, 1oz top & side weight. Everyone throws the same rock. Not a 180 grit sandstone

Yeah, like 1960, back then everyone used the same ball on mopped lanes.

They did years ago From like 08-2011. It caused so drama tho cause some of the big named then wouldn’t bowl.

thank you for bowling with the TeenMasters Youth Bowlers this weekend, it especially made my daughters weekend as she was one of the lucky bowlers that got to bowl the team challenge with you :) She would most definitely love to have one of your signed jerseys to go with her bowling pin, please!? I’d like to see the PBA do more events like this, it would eliminate the need to bring a dozen balls to an event, and bowlers would have to rely solely on shot making (which you all are excellent shot makers 😁)

I think Matt Ogle has a fantastic idea in the signed jerseys and, while I don't especially need any jerseys at all (not a diss--just don't collect things) I'd like to see you and more PBS/PWBA bowlers marketing themselves like this.

When it's talked about if bowling could be an Olympic sport...I think this type of bowling would be well suited to international competition. Not to have things a cover/core, ball reaction matching up...

Walter Ray Williams Jr carries with him to all events he bowls in signed jerseys for sale I think they were 70$ very reasonable if you wanted one my daughter and I bowled with him in pba 60+ at Wayne website last year and he signed my daughters purse this year

Last century I had a plastic ball, goldish, cheap. Did get many strikes out of it, but it slid. Thumbhole was slightly big so I dropped it a bit. Candidate for being left on the rack, at some house....lol

When Tiffany and I'll move Wichita in the near future, I was some undrilled 1978 blue dot for you. Hit it with 2000 and you get a little traction that should help, Instead of these new age plastivs. I know the blue dot is a polymer,but I never have an issue with durometer readings (always in the 80s). Just take a 2000 to it. Freaks all others out on how I can be and the lane with a blue dot . Works great at nationals too, right up 10

I threw white dots and yellow dots for 8 or 9 years before urethane even came out. Gave up the plastic balls once I got my first Hammer. Yes I'm that old.🙂

I like the format....not sure it's worth that much travel....hope you were properly "compensated". Oh yeah, we all knew you weren't going to win....when you showed us that ball. Pro & non-sanctioned events, you can switch hands. Otherwise, which handed you are depends on which fingers you put on the finger holes. Rule probably started to keep folks from sandbagging for handicap or making a mockery of the game.
