Plastic Free Pipeline 2018

Surfers and spectators at the 2018 Billabong Pipe Masters were encouraging ocean lovers around the world to wipe out single-use plastics. As part of the Plastic Free Pipeline Project, ocean artist Ethan Estess teamed up with Sustainable Coastlines Hawai’i, Kōkua Hawai’i Foundation, WSL PURE, Johnson Ohana Foundation, Bureo, Re-Use Hawaiʻi, HydroFlask and the Turtle Bay Foundation to create a large sculpture of Pipeline from plastic pollution, fishing nets and reclaimed lumber.
