This performance couldn`t happen at the SoHo Pravda club. This club opened for one night only (Nov 08, 1979) and immediately closed. Even if to suppose that Plastics had performed there on Nov 08, 1979, Klaus Nomi wouldn`t have performed in his vinyl tuxedo. That tuxedo was designed in the beginning of 1980. So the performance took place at another club. Do you remember where it was?

The club was not open to the public yet. We rented it as a location for the video. I directed this video so I think I would know.

@@alstromariarokamenskaya6385 Yes, that was the case. To be more accurate it was Tina Weymouth who made that arrangement. I met Klaus and Joey at a fashion event held at Fiorucci's Manhattan store. I wish that Plastics hadn't been pigeonholed as "the Japanese B52s." Their music was more sophisticated, and their lyrical stance was much closer to Devo without the spudboys' relentless misogyny.
